Languages on CD

I was wondering if anyone has tried to learn a different language and has used a CD tutorial to do so....
Also could you give feedback on your experience with this method?? :tu:

I'm learning Latin from a audio CD. I like so far. Some I have tried aren't good. It all just depends on different programs. If you find one you don't like keep looking cause there is always a few good ones! :)

I learned most of my French from Pimsleur's tape course. That was the big one, with 18 cassettes. It was a really good one.

I've listened to other language courses on tape, and found them less good. Especially those really short ones for travellers--they just teach you to parrot out phrases with no understanding of the actual words.
