Who likes Ivanhoe?

Okay, I was writing a book report on Ivanhoe, and it just made me curious. Does anybody else like Scott.

Whoever thinks Brian de Bois- Guilbert is a perverted, lustful monster raise their hand. (me!)

Does Rowena strike anybody else as a snob?

I want to read it; I haven't had a chance to get the book yet. Last month or so I did see the TV version from 1982ish with Sam Neill.

I really enjoyed it. It took me a little bit to get into it, and it is denser reading than I like to just curl up with and relax, but I liked the story line.


Is Rowena supposed to strike us as a snob, or is that just something that transferred to me?
