The Belgariad!!!!!!!!

I am reading this AWESOME book series called the belgariad!!! Its almost a mix between HP and the LOTR because the main characters parents have been killed and he vows to take revenge on them plus he has something only he can carry.If anyone ever gets a chance to read DO because its really good. (i havent even finished all the books yet!) theres also another series after it! PLEASE POST NOOO SPOILERS ON THIS THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a good series isn't it. I have read them several times.

And once you have finished reading about Garion and his friends there are quite a few other books by David Eddings (some of them written in conjunction with his wife Leigh)and they are all good.

I like them because I found them much easier to read than alot of the other High Fantasy that I've read. They are real escapism reading for me. The literary equivilent of comfort food.

Ah yes, the series from which I got my username (Liselle).....I love that series, it was the first real fantasy series I'd read and I was hooked from the get go.

I really love David Edding's style of writing, its a nice light touch but he emcompasses everything :)

I'd highly recommend anything written by him and his wife
