Besides a wand, I would really like a copy of Hogwarts, A History!

I would love to have an invisibility cloak, think of all the stuff you can do with it. I would also like to have a firebolt that would be the coolest thing ever. Also Fred and George’s fireworks, the Fourth of July would never be the same again.

broomstick! i'd love to fly!

June 23rd, 2004, 4:17 pm
Besides a wand i would like to have a time turner, Definitly a firebalt a rita skiter pen and an invisibility cloak. Then i would be unstopable. A poicket pensiev would be wonderfull aswell as you should never forget how to do all the spells you know/learn. I may sound a bit greedy but hey as unle vernon would say to duddly. He knows what he wants and thats his money's worth. And don't forget the marauders map that i can change to where i am instead of just at my school.

I would like a wand for sure. And I also would like a pensieve because I have a terrible memory.

June 23rd, 2004, 6:13 pm
well, besides a wand...I'd have to say that I'd want a tricked out broom! I wouls love to be able to fly, and hey, it'd be cheaper that a car...haha then I wouldnt need gas money!

Mercedes
June 23rd, 2004, 6:41 pm
Of course, I'd love a wand. Though I'd also love an invisibility cloak, pensieve, & a broom. Hm. That's quite a bit, but eh. Lots of good stuff around, you know.

tabygrint
June 23rd, 2004, 6:42 pm
That's hard! I guess a broom?

faeriewitch
June 23rd, 2004, 6:50 pm
The marauder's map, of course!

LouisaB
June 23rd, 2004, 7:28 pm
A time turner would be invaluable but if I had to choose only one object I think that with my bad memory the remembrall would be the best choice.

Would not want an invisibility cloak myself. I suspect that that is one of those things that could backfire on you when you least expect it. Overhearing things that you would rather you didn't and the like.

Asa
June 24th, 2004, 7:33 pm
I would want an Invisibility cloak the most. A time turner would be cool ,but it is rather risky to use it. You could go places and sneak up on people  . But ,of course, I would never do that  .

June 24th, 2004, 7:39 pm
Other than my wand (which would have been my number 1 choice of magical item since you could use it to make flying broomsticks and other things-clever huh) I would want a time-turner because the one from the movie looks awesome and I just simply need more time in the day! Plus, I'd make this summer go on continually so I never have to go back to school. I would, of coarse, speed up time to get books 6 and 7 and to see all the movies in advance! Teehee!

phoenixfeather7
June 24th, 2004, 8:08 pm
The magical items I would want would be a wand, a broomstick, the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw scarves, the Time Turner, the Mirror of Erised , the Invisibility Cloak, and the Marauder's Map.

Astarael
June 24th, 2004, 8:17 pm
Marauder's map, definitely, and other stuff....can't decide between them all!

June 24th, 2004, 8:25 pm
This is a real tough question.. hrmm

ONE magical thing I can have..

It would be Hermione.

Haha, But seriously.. I'd like a wand. I'd be happy with just a wand.

Scarlet Tears
June 24th, 2004, 8:26 pm
Besides a wand, an Invisibility Cloak would be what I would like to own the most. A Pensieve would also come in handy, since I know how Dumbledore feels when he said that sometimes you have way too many thoughts in your head. I also enjoy looking back at the past, and if I had a Pensieve I would be able to do it, but literally. A Time-Turner would also work, except I would probably worry about messing up something in the past. Other than that, I would also love:

Marauders Map (but I'd have to be in Hogwarts, too...)
Broomstick (even though I'm afraid of heights, it would still be wonderful to fly)
Camera with moving pictures
Sleekeazy’s Hair Potion (that would definitely help)
Omnioculars

Three words: Flying Ford Anglia.

An invisibility cloak would be really nice. Naming all of the things I could use it for would take forever though.

Glustin
June 25th, 2004, 12:59 am
A Firebolt of course.
An invisibility cloak, though i would be too tempted to use it for evil purposes.
A wand, more than anything.

Padfoot_08
June 25th, 2004, 2:32 am
I like the idea of a pocket pensieve - that would really come in handy to store any ideas for short stories, poetry, school or anything like that I come up with.Convenient too, hehe.

defenitely an invisibility cloak - i could think of some good use to put that to,lets face it,who couldn't?That would bring new meaning to the phrase 'being a fly on the wall' - but it would still be very cool.

and of course, the marauders map - this would be SO cool to have.I can't think of enough explinations as to why I'd want this.Come on,it's just...cool! :D

RageTheBat
June 25th, 2004, 2:37 am
Invisibility Cloak. I think any teenage boy would want one of those...

feshnie
June 25th, 2004, 1:56 pm
Instead of a wand... I would like...
...a Firebolt
...an Invisibility cloak
...a pensieve
...a time turner
and a Quick-Quotes Quill like Rita Skeeter. Hehe :p

Aramina
June 26th, 2004, 4:25 am
Definitely a Firebolt. After all, I'm a Muggle, how could I use a wand?

sirius'swife
July 8th, 2004, 11:44 am
an invisibility cloak(thats pretty obvious)
a pensieve

Hogwarts Lake
July 8th, 2004, 11:52 am
*sniff* only that letter of invitation to Hogwarts everyone gets before they start and a ticket for Hogwarts express :( naturally I'd have a wand and almost all other things then because it would mean I'm a witch

FoxyDoxy
July 8th, 2004, 12:15 pm
A broomstick naturally! I'd spend all summer flying over the British countryside (getting soaked with rain!)

Slainte
July 8th, 2004, 12:40 pm
A broomstick of course! Maybe a Firebolt.

Need I answer why? To fly...hehe

Stephie
July 8th, 2004, 6:24 pm
I'd most likely need an Invisibility Cloak. They are so useful.

freakynewt
July 8th, 2004, 6:43 pm
A magical tent (like the ones in Book 4)

Freak of nature
July 8th, 2004, 9:10 pm
A pocket pensieve sounded nice. That is one thing I would like to own. The other is a moving painting from my grandfather. (He died in May).

HeirOfRavenclaw
July 8th, 2004, 9:16 pm
A mauraders map that changed locations depending on where I am a the time!

GuitarFreak
July 8th, 2004, 9:18 pm
I would love having a broom and fly around like bird.
An invisibility cloak would be nice too. Then I could sneak around unseen in my loneliness. There are many uses of an invisibility cloak.

emerald eyes
July 9th, 2004, 4:25 am
I'd lke a wand of course. And a Time-turner, invisibility cloak and the map. Mostly though, I would like to have a pensieve and a Phoenix. (guess the phoenix shouldn't count though...)

Oh and Mrs. Weasley's wonderful family clock!! :)

MemeHilario
July 9th, 2004, 4:26 am
Invisibility Cloak! oh, how far you can go with such a powerful thing! *evil grin*

~Tonks~
July 9th, 2004, 4:27 am
I would love to have a Firebolt, as well as a wand. I think an invisibility cloak would be cool to add to all of that. I wouldn't want a time turner because I know I'd screw up something with it! I'd also like a gillyweed. It would be so gross, but I'd go scuba diving over in the reefs (I live in Hawaii) and have a ball...

Firebolt_2007
July 9th, 2004, 5:11 am
Wand for sure then I could conjure all the other magical stuff

DougJohnston
July 9th, 2004, 6:49 am
I would most definetly want to have a broomstick. A time turner would be fun but way too risky. I think I would mess things up really bad...

July 9th, 2004, 7:05 am
Does Sirius Black count as a magical item?

November 26th, 2004, 3:03 am
This isn't exactly an item but I'd love to have a Room of Requirement.

if I had to take a less powerful magical item it would probably be some sort of magical candy or a skiving snackbox. (Maybe a subscription to the Daily Prophet). Omnioculars might be the most handy.

PotionsPunk
November 26th, 2004, 3:26 am
Broomstick, I have a fascination with the ability to take flight.

mem
November 26th, 2004, 5:39 am
I thought I knew what my answer was, then I started reading the thread. Doh! So now, I want a Room of Requirment, a pensieve, and a time turner. Although...I suspect a Room of Requirment might just provide me with the second two. I think that's sort of cheating though. Oh well. Going with that anyway.

Raven_Girly
November 26th, 2004, 10:17 am
I think I'll agree with PotionsPunk on this one: a broomstick (Firebolt, of course) would be really cool. I've always wanted to be able to fly! A broomstick was my first thought, but now I'm thinking an Marauders Map. That would be awesome. And an Invisiblity Cloak would be great too! It would be cool to sneak up on people. And a Time Turner! It is so hard to decide! OK I'm going to stop now before I think of something else (Pensieve!), and my final choice is...OK, a tie between a Firebolt and an Invibility Cloak. I can't choose!

Lady_D
November 26th, 2004, 10:34 am
I say, yes he does! And in that case I get Severus Snape!!

LOL, can i borrow him then? Always wanted to learn how to make potions :eyebrows:

And while we're at it, i'd like to get the ingredients and a kettle. Ofcourse a wand would come in handy, too. Oops, that is more then 1 item...

Oh well, i'll just go for the wand.

Uterope
November 26th, 2004, 11:03 am
chocolate frogs and every flavour beans... I'm pregant so I'm hungry all the time give me food. but after the pregnancy i'll go for something like the cleansweep 11 broomstick.

My thread adresses a similar question, so feel free to visit!

What item would you design for Fred and George's joke shop? (http://www.cosforums.com/showthread.php?t=33365&highlight=joke)

It would be cool to have a Firebolt™, the Marauder's Map, and an Invisibility Cloak, amongst a lot of other things ;).

November 26th, 2004, 12:12 pm
Ah, an invisibility cloak would be great :D

JakeOfRavenclaw
November 26th, 2004, 12:34 pm
An invisibility cloak would be so cool! A marauders map of my town and Moodys eye would also be great.

twinkie_bear
November 30th, 2004, 3:04 am
Either a broomstick, an invisibility cloak, or the Marauder's Map.

Moody's seven-keyed trunk is cool, too.

I concur.

November 30th, 2004, 3:44 am
The answer to this seems obvious to me. A wand.

Although, I could use a penseive from time to time.

November 30th, 2004, 8:07 pm
I'd like to have a broomstick, cause I love flying, it's so great when I have dreams about flying!!!
But also I'd like an Invisibility Cloak, that would help me to pass unnoticed when I wanted to (It would be cool to dissapear in the middle of a boring class and go wherever you like, but I suppose I'd have bad grades if I do that ;)

November 30th, 2004, 8:09 pm

Uhm, just so you all know, the wand doesn't make you magical, the wand focused the magic.....so, in your muggle hands, the wand would be useless.........

1) A broomstick ( to get around)
2) A wand ( to do magic)

I'd like to have a wand, and a time turner. With these two things I would be the happiest person in the world! I would learn all the spells and I would fix some things in the past. I'd be carefull about it, but I'd try to fix them.

Time turner would be a nice thing to own - but I guess I would also use it in the situations that I shouldn't use it...

A pensieve would be great for remembering lesson work for exams as you could re-watch the lessons when needed. In fact a pensieve would be great if you had a headache and too much on your mind as you could free up all those thoughts.

ZoeBlaize
December 28th, 2004, 9:13 am
Definately a Time-Turner. Think of all the sleep I could get! I'd never miss an anime...like Full Metal Alchemist...

...although, if we can claim people, then I want Severus Snape!

tonks442
December 28th, 2004, 9:32 am
A wand defintely; because then, you could conjure up every other magical item you would want! Other than that, I would like a broom, time turner, invisibility cloak, magical fireplasee (with floo powder of course ) and a Quick Quotes Quill like Rita Skeeter has. :)

drdementor
December 28th, 2004, 12:04 pm
I think I'd want a Pensieve. Definitely a Pensieve. It would be great to be able to look back on your memories Objectively, or to relive the ones you enjoyed, or to organise your thoughts and find connections between different things. I think the Pensieve is one of the major ways Dumbledore always knows what is going on in the school and how he sees through people's motivations. In the Great Hall scenes, I bet you can imagine he draws them out of his head again and walks around through the Great Hall, hearing how the students interact.

Time Turner would be sweet, but I really wouldn't want to have to deal with the reprecussions of the whole time travel deal. An invisibility cloak would be sweet. Is there an item that would make me know everything? I'll take one of those.

Hmm... I could really use one of those Pensieves, maybe even a pocket-sized one. It would be really great to get rid of those very annoying thoughts in your head, and at the end of the day, maybe you wouldn't be that stressed out. I could also use broomstick, Time-Turner, and some of those magical candy treats, just so I could keep certain people's mouths closed....permanently :elaugh:

A broomstick and an invisibility cloak make a formidable combination. You can fly without even being noticed! If it has to be just one thing, I'd go for the broomstick, I'd just fly it at night!

Broomstick [god, imagine a Firebolt! Just getting onto a broom, and it speeding away..you can feel the cool air on your face, you can brush past the stars, reach for the sky..]
an invisibility cloak
the two way mirrors! Like Sirius gave Harry! oh, god, whats the point of even having phones/msn/ANYTHING?! haha. awesome, awesome stuff.

A broomstick for start! I hate traffic! Unfortunatelly, the air is going to mess my hair, but we all have to make sacrifices!

Broomsticks, Time Turners, Invisibility Cloaks and Pensieves... I'd like them all.

Which is why I would choose the Philosopher's Stone as the magical item I would like most. I'm not exactly sure that I would want to be immortal, but transforming any metal into pure gold does sound appealing. With that nice little feature of the Stone I would buy all the other items I desire.

I would love to have a wand so I could figure out how to do spells and such but if I couldn't have that I would surely want an invisibility cloak. It would be sooo much fun to get out of the house or pull pranks on people and it might comein useful.

I can't decide. I would like:

A wand, a Pensieve, a Time-Turner, an Invisibility Cloak, the Marauders Map, a Quick-Quotes Quill, the two-way mirrors, a Firebolt and a Sneakoscope. Basically, pretty much everything. Told you I couldn't decide!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I agree with Satnitesadness - a jar of Bubotuber Pus would be on the list too. I desperately want some of that! :grumble: Stupid acne!

Definatly a broomstick, I want an Invisibility Cloak, Marauders Map, Pensieve, Floo powder (maybe then me and my family wont be late so often), the clock like the one in the Weasley's kitchen, time-turner. All of this would be SO awesome!

I really need that, also.

A WAND, hands down. Plus an invisibility cloak to sneak out of work every day, and some Floo powder so I could avoid rush-hour traffic.

After a long, hard thought process; I would like a broom. It has always been a fantasy of mine to fly through the sky. A broom would make that come true. While I would love to have everything else, childhood fantasies should never be ignored.

I can't decide. I want a marauder's map, a broomstick, and an invisibility cloak. There, I said it.

I would want a wand. You can do almost anything with a wand, so you can get your others needs and wants by a wand.
