Does it wind anyone else up how Hollywood are just using computer game storylines instead of using their own noodles to think of their own?
We had Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Brothers,Street Fighter, Tomb Raider, Dungeons & Dragons, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil and now we have Alone in the Dark and Devil May Cry in production!
Fair enough I have watched these films and in parts I was dissapointed, cept for Tomb Raider and Resident Evil. I always wanted to see them in movies. But Dungeons & Dragons was a huge dissapointment as was Final Fantasy Spirirts Within!
Hollywood should leave computer games alone and think up their own ideas!
What do you think?

I think that movie makers have a bad habit of making movies about games whose stories don't lend themselves movies. For example, they're making a Metroid movie... a Metroid movie! There is only one character in Metroid! Which pretty much means that they'll throw in a bunch of crappy original characters and completely destroy any semblance of the game. What they need to do is get Hideo Kojima to pen a Metal Gear script. They would make great movies if they were shorter, so if a script was made by the creator, especially for a movie, they may just be able to pull it off.

I do have to disagree that Spirits Within was a disappointment though. It really wasn't Final Fantasy, but it wasn't a bad movie.

Ive heard that someone wants to create a Metal Gear movie! They want Russell Crowe or Hugh Jackman to play Snake! Hugh Jackman gets my vote! He rocked as Wolverine! I like Metroid, but I dont think I'll see it! Download it instead instead of wasting the preious pennies!
