The Girl of the Moonlight
She sees the world so differently
Peering dreamily through a gauze of stars
She has pale eyes that penetrate the dark
See her watching you from afar
She walks a different path than most
Watching the world at it's best and worst
She seldom says a single word
She just steps back to observe
She walks the routes her life leads alone
But she never asked for anything more
She keeps on walking, keeps on dreaming
Even when the world stops spinning
She laughs and stares and sings
A free spirit prancing through her troubles
A gentle soul pausing to smell life's roses
See her smiling at the simplist of things
She's so beautiful at sight
So lively and carefree
Her thoughts so far away
But her history is far from
What you think it would be
Watching a dear loved one die
Gazing at a dear loved one in pain
Feeling the aching loss within
Feeling tears fall like rain
She holds it all amidst her soul
Charges on into the darkness
Keeps following her path
Though cut so roughly
Never asks for help
Never asks for more
Keeps following her path
She is still watching you from afar
As she walks a route so dark
She takes each step
As though walking in a dream
And hums each song as lightly
As the fluttering of wings
She may have seemed strange
She may have appeared so dreamy
She looked as though her mind was far away
But perhaps your view of her will change
She dances and shines on the outside
Always offering a absent-minded smile
But a mended, unique, beautiful soul lies within
So different after walking many emotional miles
See the silverness of her eyes
They penetrate the lightless night
She is stronger than the darkest prospect
She is braver than the charging light of dawn
She is the Girl of the Moonlight
I rarely write poems that I think are good enough to show other people (and it's even less common for me to write poems about HP -- but Luna's so inspiring, I just couldn't resist), so instead of starting a new feedback thread that will seldom be used and clutter up the forum, just leave any feedback in the thread for feedback for my fanfiction, The Other Side of the Moon. Here is the link (http://www.cosforums.com/showthread.php?t=36741). Thanks!
