Re: Photography

I love photography.

My grand grand father was a professional photographer.

Perhaps my talents and passions comes from my ancestor, I really think so.
I love to takes photos of unusual things other people don´t care about.

I love to take pics of my room, my things, the place where I live, the streets, the actual times.
But not exactly people, I dont care about people that much, prefer the animals, the nature, the sea, the sky, the flowers, things.

I took a B & W photography course last year & it was amazing! It brought out my deep, hidden desire of art. The course changed the way I see things. For example, now I see beauty in every lil thing like a shoe, a piece of paper, etc. & it also helped me take pictures "correctly" :)

Recently I've actually been considering professional photography as a career. Anyone have any advice on breaking into the field?

I'd love to get into professional photography... but for now, I make do with my Canon A520.
Some of my favorite ones that I've taken:

I have done a lot of black and white photograhy in the past (4-H), and I had the great fortune to work at a photo studio last year retouching portraits-- my basic intro course to Photoshop! :D I'll try and post some of my pictures later, but they have to be scanned because I primarily do traditional film.

Seems I lost some quality with the re-sizing of the images.. oh well. I also take other photos but just for my own enjoyment.

Oh I love to take pictures. I can't develop worth anything though. I think that's why I prefer digital photography. I hate enlargers with a passion right now because they never work for me.

I'll be back with some pictures once I go upload them off my camera. If anyone has any suggestions for a good digital SLR that doesn't cost a fortune I'd appreciate them. I used a SLR for my B&W film class and now going back to my compact digital is hard.

try the Canon 350D (Also known as the Digital rebel XT in the USA). It's a small and very cheap digital SLR in the Canon EOS range. Now that the 400D has come out (Also known as the Rebel XTi), the 350D should be even cheaper.

I've been shooting things for years. Started with a Pentax Spotmatic 1 all the way up to a Canon AE1 Program. But since buying the digital, I hardly use the 35mm any more. I use an Olympus C-760. Only 3.2mp but with it's 10 optical zoom, I give it the 'wow factor'. What I love to shoot, 'fractured reflections', you know, you see a scene within the glass windows of a building, but the view is not perfect. If the glass isn't exact, from one window to the next, it's slightly out of faze..yea, I know, a bit like me!

I've seen pics like that, they can be very effective. And that 10 times optical zoom is pretty good!

I love to take photograps! I am saving money to buy a good camera. Anyone here that would like to recommend a camera for me?

I'll maybe post some pictures here if I can get them on the computer:)

Depends on what kind of photography you want to shoot. I'm in love with my Canon Rebel, which shoots traditional film, but if you want to go digital, a really good camera is super expensive. There are smaller ones that are cheaper, but you won't get the same thing.

I always look like such a loser (or should I say super-cool?:p) when I travel because I'm always carrying my huge Rebel case on one shoulder, probably holding the Rebel in my hand, and then I have a small digital camera on my wrist for color shots. :D
