Harry Potter and the Rabid Shippers
Hehe that's a good one! Wonder if it will still apply by book 7?

How about Harry Potter and Draco's Redemption. (just kidding!)

I can think of some other really stupid ones (eg Harry Potter and the Battle of Fan Fiction, Harry Potter and the Weighing In of Dudley) but my creativity is running at a low ebb. :sigh:

Thanks Cubicles, 'Harry Potter and the Weighing In of Dudley', I loved that one! Would make for a heavy book

Some of those titles made me smile :)
Very creative

I'd like to get serious for a moment if I may. I was sitting here reading the thread and something just dawned on me.

I think a title like Harry Potter and the Final Battle or something similar is just too predictable. I have a theory that I would like to throw in if I may.

Has anyone given any thought as to what would happen to the war on LV if there was a change at the Ministry or at Hogwarts? I'm sure there's a thread somewhere. Anyway, it would have some significant impact, in my opinion. So how about this title:

Harry Potter and the Change of Command

It may be a little obvious, but it has a nice good-evil balance to include Voldemort in the title for the seventh book.

Harry Potter and the Dark Lord
Harry Potter and Voldemort
Harry Potter and Tom Riddle
Harry Potter and the Death Eaters

Getting serious, I think that if your titles were serious they would be too obvious. Most of her titles have to do with the plot, usually the essence of the book. For example: the Chamber of Secrets, the Sorcerer's Stone, The Order of the Phoenix...etc. The titles usually revolve around the mystery of the story and the title (along with the plot) is questioned through most of the book. Then, when everything comes together, so does the title. This is probably what will happen in HBP, but as for the 7th book, I suppose I'll need to read the 6th book in order to get any ideas. I like your satirical ones though!

Up to now, the book titles have always been totally unguessable

- Chamber of Secrets : there was no mention of it in book 1.

- Prisoner of Azkaban : I don't think this was possible to guess, even though Sirius had been mentioned briefly in book 1, and the Azkaban prison in book 2.

- Goblet of Fire : no mention of this item in the first 3 books.

- Order of the Phoenix : the name was impossible to guess. Dumbledore had mentionned the "old crowd" at the end of book 4, but without naming it. So before JKR revealed the title of book 5, I don't think anyone could have guessed it.

- Half Blood Prince : we don't know (yet) who the Prince is... but I don't think anyone had guessed that name before JKR revealed it a year ago.
