This is from Gof, Karkaroff is the coward, Snape is believed to have left forever. This shows that Voldemort is already onto Snape and he will be killed.

It is obvious that Snape is a spy because of that scene in the OotP, where Harry was learning Occlumency from Snape.

Conversation:

Snape: It is not your job to find out what the dark lord is planning, Potter!
Harry: No that's your job isn't it?
Snape: (He smiles in a wicked way)Yes Potter, that is my job.

But I don't believe that Snape still might be a faithful servant of Voldemort. And I believe that Voldemort trusts him also or else Voldemort would have killed him a long time ago.

I sometimes wonder if Snape was so pale after Harry broke into his mind because either no one had ever done it before or he thought Harry had used his connection with Voldemort.

Also when snape go to the DE meetings couldn't he leave any truly incriminating memories in Dubledore's pensive.

I've wondered about this too, Snape must have known that by now Voldemort could 'read' (I know we're not supposed to use the word read) Harry's mind and would then find out exactly what was going on inside the Order and in Hogwarts. Voldemort would then know that Snape was up to an exactly why Snape had gone back into his group.
If I were Snape I'd be afraid for my self if Voldemort ever found out exactly what was going on with the Order. Voldemort's not really one to forgive is he?

That wasn´t in my mind either, till I saw in an interview JK saying if you think that Snape is becoming a good guy, you should read book 7....
So for me he is under Voldemort´s services still..

Wow, I had no idea about that interview!

It would be really interesting to read the transcript of the interview if you know where you can get it.

I think I read that interview but I'm pretty sure that JK said that she can't figure out why so many people love Snape and to look out for him in the books to come. I dont think that he is still under service for Voldemort, even though im not a big fan of Snape at all myself. I personally loathe him because of the way he treats Harry, but i still think that hes a good guy at heart. I also think that he still could be spying for the Order and that Voldemort is probably going to figure that out sometime in the near future. My money is on Snape dying in the upcoming books either by getting killed by Voldemort or by saving Harry's life.

It was mentioned some times here are some of the quotes:
Q:There's an important kind of redemptive pattern to Snape
JK:He, um, there's so much I wish I could say to you, and I can't because it would ruin. I promise you, whoever asked that question, can I just say to you that I'm slightly stunned that you've said that and you'll find out why I'm so stunned if you read Book 7. That's all I'm going to say.
----------------------------
Q:Where as most of the character, like Snape for example, are very hard to love but there's a sort of ambiguity, I think is probably the best word. You can't quite decide, there's something rather sad about Snape as well, something very lonely and you kind of, although he turns out to of course have such a wicked past and it's fascinating to watch how he...in the first book we thought he was the evil one and apart from Voldemort the most evil and in the second we thought that and slowly we just get this idea that maybe he's not so bad after all.
JK:Yeees. You shouldn't think he's too nice, let me just say that. ...He's worth keeping an eye on, definitely.

On one hand I want to say yes Voldemort does know. Simply because everyone says he is so great at legitamacy. And if he is as good as everyone says you would think that he would be able to breeze might through Snapes brain and figure out that he is the spy. But on the other hand, Snape is still alive and working for the order. So, that leads me to think that Voldemort doesn't know. Because you would think that if he did he would have done something to Snape by now. Perhaps Snape is better at occulmency (not sure on the sp) than Voldemort is at legitamacy. But then Harry broke through Snape at one point. (oh wow, I am getting so off topic!!)
Anyway, I'm going to say that Snape just rocks at the occulmency thing and that's why Voldemort hasn't seen through him yet!
