originally posted by leah Karen Kingsbury is a popular author. I haven't read anything by her except Gideon's Gift, though. I read a lot of Beverly Lewis and Roxanne Henke (well, maybe not a lot since she only has 1 series and 3 stand-alone books). Beverly Lewis writes Amish stories in mostly 3 to 5 book series. Roxanne Henke writes about contemporary men and women finding their place in their family, life, and in Christianity. The stories are geared toward women. Her popular series is Coming Home to Brewster, which I absolutely love. I am currently reading the O'Malley Series by Dee Henderson. It's very predictable, but it's fun to read anyway. I also love the Sisterchicks series by Robin Jones Gunn. They're very quick reads, but they're fun. Each book is a trip to a new country. It's an adventure.

I'll have to check out the books you listed, baseballblondie!
I've tried Beverly Lewis, and she didn't hold my attention. Roxanne Henke was awesome! And I love the Sisterchicks books. Not as much as Glenbrooke but they fuel my desire to travel.
