1. If you could spend a day with any Harry Potter character who would you choose and why?

Were he alive, I would spend a day with Dumbledore because I would really like to pick his brain and learn about everything pertaining to the wizarding world. I would love to have a more complete conception of a world that is so different, and yet so similar, to my own.

If, since he's dead, Dumbledore wouldn't be a viable option, I would choose Hermione, for the same reasons.

2. Which Deathly Hallow would you choose?

I would choose the Cloak because (like virtually everyone) I've often dreamed of the freedom that invisibility would bring.

However, I imagine that as I grow older and more of the people I love die, my answer will change to the stone. The opportunity to see the people I love even after they die would be too tempting to resist.

3. Which magical pet would you bring with you to Hogwarts?

If the choice were only between an owl, a cat, and a rat, I would choose a cat. I'm actually more of a dog person, but I would love any animal that I can pet and play with.

I realize that most people would choose an owl, but I've never found anything wrong with regular (Muggle) mail. And when beyond the magically charged field surrounding Hogwarts, I could just use e-mail, which is exponentially faster than either owls or the postal service.

4. What would be your favorite subject at Hogwarts?

I think Charms would be my favourite subject because it seems to be the most practical: I can imagine a plethora of situations where even the most basic charms would make things so much easier, but such situations are slightly more difficult to conceive with regards to subjects like Potions, Transfiguration, and the others.

5. If you could ask J.K. Rowling to write one thing what would it be?

Why didn't you rewrite the final duel between Harry and Voldemort? Did none of your editors find it as underwhelming as I did, or did you disregard their advice?

6. Would you play Quidditch? If so which position?

Why wouldn't I play? It sounds so fun!

I guess I would be a keeper, simply because that's the position I play in sports like hockey and soccer. Playing beater would be fun too, though, as I'm a bit of a sadist and would not be able to suppress a smile upon smacking an opponent upside the head. Being a seeker would be really boring, spending all of your time looking for a tiny sliver of gold as though it were a constantly moving "Where's Waldo?"

7. Which magical career would you choose?

To me, magical careers don't sound substantially superior to Muggle careers, but I think it would be really fun to work with experimental charms. That job sounds like it would be a never-ending science experiment; except that, unlike with Muggle science experiments, more of the results would have the potential to directly and profoundly affect people's lives. And I cannot deny that the "explosive" possibilities of experimental charms are quite enticing as well.

8. What would your patronus be?

I would want my patronus to be a rabid dog, relentless, possessed. It would attack with an incredible zeal, honed in on its goal.

However, it would probably be something like a sloth because I'm so damn lazy. An agile, shrewd sloth, but a sloth nonetheless.

9. Which magical place would you most like to visit?

This is far from an original answer, but I would choose Hogwarts. The most tantalizing feature about the wizarding world is that it's not this one! There would be an entire realm of new things to learn, and Hogwarts is the place to go to learn them.

10. Pick one house you would prefer not to be in.

I'd rather my prejudices didn't sway anyone's decision.

1st: Great user name. I like it.

2nd: So very very Ravenclaw, though I thought I saw touches of Hufflepuff until I saw your Patronus!

"Has Ron saved a goal yet?" asked Hermione.
"Well, he can do it if he thinks no one is watching him," said Fred, rolling his eyes. "So all we have to do is ask the crowd to turn their backs and talk among themselves every time the Quaffle goes up on his end Saturday."

It's clear that you've thought about each of your answers. Also, you seem to be very understanding of the magical world yet happy to voice your opinions on it.

Re: TheBoyWh0Reads

Ravenclaw. You're answers are so long and you use long words like "exponetionally". There is no way you could not be a Ravenclaw. Although you do have some Slytherin tendencies; you have a very grounded and shrewd sense of humor.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 almost made me a Snape-fan. . .almost. But then I re-read Deathly Hallows and I came back to my senses and the world was the way it's supposed to be.
