A Day in the Life of Lord Voldemort

Set during DH. This is the fist in a planned series of shorts pertaining to characters daily activities. If this one is successful I intend to do one for Snape, Dumbledore, Hagrid and others... anyway, enjoy!

A Day in the Life of Lord Voldemort


06.00: Wake at dawn to the sound of Bach playing out of the walls. My back aches and my head is throbbing. Wormtail has put out my slippers and a copy of the Daily Prophet for me.

06.20: Shower, water cool and refreshing on my back and face. Dry up and read paper. Death Eaters attacked and killed several ministry representatives. I’m rather pleased.

07.00: Breakfast of toast and marmalade. Wormtail has forgotten the tea. I teach him a lesson.

08.00: Work out over the WWN. Gotta keep my muscles strong and abled.

09.00: First meeting of the day. I congragulate Bella and Lucius for the work killing the Ministry representatives. Extra pay for them. Lucius asks for day off next week. I put it into my diary and tell him that I will let him know soon.

09.45: Stretch My legs and apparate to Hogwarts. Snape is oddly quiet and mopey. I tell him to pull himself together. Student sees me and screams. I now have a nice Ravenclaw rug for the living room.

11.20: Return home to mountains of paperwork. Womtail absent for some reason. Bella making tea in the kitchen.

12.30: Lunch of light pasta and garlic bread. Meeting with Greyback goes well though he has blood all down his face. Some people aren’t very hygenic at all.

13.30: Time to go out and put the fear of my name into people’s minds. Take a stretch along a muggle street and kill a few people. Bella and her husband join me.

14.40: Return home. Wormtail still absent.

15.00: Meeting with Pius Thicknesse goes well even though he is under my control. I tell him to go about his business as usual.

16.00: Snape arrives suddenly at my door. He says that a problem has arisen at Hogwarts with several students. We go to check it out.

17.00: False alarm. Severus walked into the room of requirement by accident.

18.00: Watch the news while Bella makes my dinner. Roast turkey and assorted veg. Wormtail still absent.

19.00: Wormtail arrives back. Apparently it was his mothers birthday and he wanted to suprise her. He doesn’t tell me. I pull it out of his mind as he’s writhing in pain on the floor. Skiving will not be tolerated. Miss my favourite soap.

20.00: Odd phonecall. Someone calls me mouldy shorts and a group of people start singing a rude song down the phone. One suspects that Potter is behind it.

21.00: Sit down to watch a film for a hour or two. After a hard day like today I need the rest.

23.00: Watch Match of the Day. Chudley Cannons slaughtered by the Kenmare Kestrals.

00.00: Go to bed. Wormtail left an apology on my pillow. He’s alright really. New rug looks better in my bedroom so keep it there. Off to sleep to do the whole thing again tomorrow.
