Wipeout

Anyone watch this new show on ABC? I did! And I thought it was AWESOME! It is hillarious and it reminds me of stuff like "MXC" and this show on G4TV called Ninja Warrior. I loved every bit of this show and I am addicted to it. I will be watching it all season long.

Re: Wipeout

I was laughing sooo hard. It is just like MXC and Ninja Warrior but it's more interesting because you can understand what they're saying as the do the challenges.

I agree. It is a lot more interesting. Heh, I thought no one besides me watched Ninja Warrior, but this is exactly like that!

I wanted that dude in yellow to win last night, though. I was rooting for him!

Re: Wipeout

I found it! I love this show so much! My sister and I watch watch it together (well over the phone together ) and we laugh so hard. The commentary is awesome. I laughed so hard at that Jacob Mann guy when he did the splits over the big balls

My little sister and I set up an obstacle course in our pool, to recreate the show. Yes we are idiots, especially me because I am almost 25. It was fun though, we didn't get through it It was fun though

Re: Wipeout

How did I miss this thread? This show is so ridiculously hilarious! Watching people ricochet off massive obsticals into pits of mud just never gets old. I love the commentators and I love when they show the female interviewer's reactions to particularly bad wipeouts--she's all cringing away from the disaster--hilarious!

Re: Wipeout

I watch it every night that it is on! My mom hates it when guys with long beards come on the show because when they fall in the mud pit at the sucker punch...well,i think you can fill in the rest.

Re: Wipeout

I loved the Dreadmill with the wrecking ball when the girl was on and it kept saying stuff like " I want you Jessica!" or "Hmmm. I'd look good in that shirt on my date with Jessica!! Hahaha!"

I love this show!

Re: Wipeout

Just found this thread. I really, really like this show. It's just so much fun to watch and see the people struggle with everything. I always say how much I would like to be on the show, but it would probably hurt a fair bit. But I think it would be worth it! One of the commentators, John Anderson, is an anchor for SportsCenter so I already knew how funny he was.

My favorite thing is the Big Balls, because that's the obstacle people wipe out on the most.

The Big Balls are hilarious! I also rolled last week when they unveiled "The Crow Bar."

Did you see that this week they're changing the boxing glove punching wall? They replaced the gloves with shoes, make the contestents cross facing away from the wall, and call it The Butt Kicker!

Re: Wipeout

Ah, did anyone see "The Wipeys" this week? They had awards for the best wipeouts of the season. The clips and commentary were hilarious as usual. I hope this does not conclude the season, though. I look forward to this show. But I guess it probably will end soon with fall programming starting in a month or so . . .

Re: Wipeout

This show is awesome. My favourite course is the Big Balls, it looks impossible to get across it, i think I've only seen one person do it. Has anyone seen the human tetris show? its kind of the same, only funnier

I've never heard of that show. But is it possible for something to be funnier?? You must tell me what channel it comes on.

Re: Wipeout

A dumb show but the commentary makes it. It's really much drier humour than I've come to expect from American TV.

That might also have been made necessary because I've seen a few people with boxing experience take the punches and keep on going.

Re: Wipeout

Aww, I first saw this show in a hotel room in Australia!

I was flipping through channels trying to find SOMETHING that was interesting to watch at 4am, and then I saw this guy get knocked out by a HUGE glove sticking out of the wall.
BAM

Feel in love instantly. I thought it was an Australian show (I saw many silly things like this on TV in Japan when I went, and they were all local only), but came home to find my little brother watching it with my dad.

Funny, how violence tends to amuse

Re: Wipeout

We have Total Wipeout in the UK- it's not my sort of thing, but it's brilliant when we have students staying- people falling off obstacles is a pretty universal language...

Same here. I don't mind seeing that kind of thing (people falling off of stuff, etc.) via America's Funniest Videos and such... but as a regular show, not so much. It just doesn't keep me watching.
