So who else has played 1 and 2 of this amazing Playstation-only videogame series?
I think the Uncharted games are literally the best games I have ever played, and I can't wait for Number 3!

Yes, I agree. These are definitely my favorite games of all the modern ones right now.

They're absolutely terrific! I can't wait for number 3, I haven't been this excited about a game for ages!

What are your thoughts on the upcoming film though? I'm not a happy bunny on their casting choices, I hope they change!

I've played the second one and it has shot up to one of my favorite games of all time, i absolutely love this series! Really reminds me of Indiana Jones, which are some of my favorite films as well Can't wait for the 3rd one!

Honestly I don't hold out much hope for the movie...it looks like they are going in the wrong directions for it...especially with Wahlberg as Drake...that just seems completely off. Only time will tell, but unless the movie gets rave reviews, I for one will not be seeing it. I refuse to let it tarnish my love for this series, as it is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorites, maybe favorite if Naughty Dog can keep it up

Yeah I am very apprehensive about it too. Tomb Raider is another franchise I always loved and the films just made no sense, throwing a load of robots and side kicks in- there was a distinct lack of actual tombs! I would feel a bit better about it if they had cast a good actor as Drake.

Also the director, David O. Russell said this...

"This idea really turns me on that there’s a family that’s a force to be reckoned with in the world of international art and antiquities … [a family] that deals with heads of state and heads of museums and metes out justice…. We’ll have the family dynamic, which we’ve done in a couple of movies now. And then you take that and put it on the bigger, more muscular stage of an international action picture, but also put all the character stuff in it. That’s a really cool idea to me."

Has he even played the games? Also the 'also put all the character stuff in it' like it is an afterthought makes me groan. I bet he just fancies doing a macho, beefy action film and thought this was a good opportunity for it without really appreciating what makes Uncharted so popular among fans.

Eurgh just heard he wants Scarlett Johanson as Elena!

Anyway, last night I got the platinum trophy for Uncharted 2- my first ever platinum trophy! It was the 'Steel Fist Expert' one which was giving me grief, but finally I got it.

Maybe wishful thinking, but Emily Rose would be perfect. I'm so used to hearing their voices that anyone else would sound weird.

Yeah she is hardly the girl next door, or 'white picket fence type' as Chloe describes Elena.

I agree about Emily Rose, it would make so much sense! But at the same time if she did the role and became a big movie star she may not do videogames anymore! Too bad Nolan North isn't younger too, I think he looks a bit like Drake but in a few decades maybe You know, I'd probably be happy if it was all just one long cut scene with the original cast!

I agree. Emily Rose looks a lot like her character, IMO. But Nolan North doesn't But I agree - one giant long cutscene would be cool since we get the actors voices and their characters.

But no matter what, I'll still watch the movie. I just won't expect a lot from it considering the prospective actors
