Hi Everyone,

So it's been a bit quiet for you all recently on the timings of CoS closing. I've not been online for about two months now, for a host of reasons. Lots of things are happening at the moment that have prevented me from being on CoS for some time and may continue you do so for the foreseeable future.

The good news (if it is such) is that CoS won't be closing when I had planned (end of July). I've far too much going on in my life to dedicate time to it, so for now I am going to pencil in the Autumn months to explore feasibility.

Continue to talk about the closure here and just carry on for now and watch this space. I'll update when I have some firm dates on when things can change.

After staring intently at the witch/wizard with my nose practically touching the screen, I conclude that I think there is a good possibility of some hair down the back.. But my first impression was that it's just light shining.
Also PS says Dumbledore was wearing a purple cloak, and McGonagall an emerald cloak. The cloak on the picture definitely looks purple to me. But then where is McGonagall sitting on the wall as a cat?

Is it possible that the artist excluded McGonagall as a cat, so as to allow us to question and guess over who the witch/wizard is?

It's rather clever - we know, in reality, almost nothing about Pottermore. Us not knowing when we'll get our letters (despite how frustrating it is) creates hype and gets everybody excited and talking about it. It sort of increases Pottermore's publicity. (Not that it needs it - it featured on my small town's news the other night. :P)

My two-cents: I'm going with Dumbledore. Although his hat doesn't seem to be extravagant enough.

Well, it appears the Pottermore site HAS changed -- it's back to the "submit your email" prompt that was there before the Magical Quill promotion.

This may be to prevent people from signing in and out and wonkifying things before the appointed time.

Guys, please read the other posts on the page before you post and only post if you have something new to report or have a new question.

We don't need a whole string of posts all saying "OMG! The sign-in button has disappeared!" or "Yes, I know! Isn't it exciting?!"

Ummm... So I got through the Magic Quill back on Day 5. Registered, got a username, validated, but since then, nothing. Anybody else get anything extra after going through the whole registration process?

No, that's all there was to do for now. We just have to wait for our Welcome Emails now, which there is no firm date on when we were getting.
