Eminem

So no thread about eminem yet eh? then ill make one.

Without doubt one of the greatest rappers of all time though i think he is the greatest. His lyrics are amazing.

Also "The warning" shows he still has it

Re: Eminem

Loved Slim Shady Lp and Marshall Mathers LP, enough to put him on my all time list, lately though I really don't like the music hes putting out.

Re: Eminem

SSLP and MMLP were his best albums IMO. I also have him on my all time list. Amazing lyricist no doubt.

Relapse was alright. I hate the annoying accent he used on half the songs. I hope he doesn't feature the accent too much on Relapse 2.

Re: Eminem

When I was younger I liked him. When I grew up, I realized that there's a lot of bigotry in his lyrics. I no longer listen to him because of those lyrics.

Re: Eminem

He is very talented lyrically. He has great word play and such. But he fails to put it to good use. I mean there's only a certain number of songs I can take about ****ed up things in his life.

I agree, he's extremely talented with his lyrics, but he could use some better songs to put them into. I've mostly heard the radio friendly versions of his songs and when you hear those versions, you think nothing of the lyrics. But when you hear the original versions, you start to think about the lyrics that you're hearing, and you start to realize that he's just spewing disgusting garbage out of his mouth.

He is a bit 'emo' with his songs, though, isn't he?

Re: Eminem

I loved 'Beautiful.' Hated all the others. He does come across as too hostile for me to cope with.

Re: Eminem

Some old songs from around 2007 have leaked out on the internett now.

Check out "Syllables", "Difficult" and "Cocain". Their all pretty good

Re: Eminem

When he wants to he can produce a heart felt classic. Honestly I have grown tired of his style. His lyrical delivery is never varied it's all the same tone and rythm. He can still drop the clever world play but its no longer enough.

Re: Eminem

Love him so much!

Just sayin for all, there was a rumor going around last year after the 2010 Grammys. The necklace that he was wearing was NOT an iluminati necklace (or anything of that sort). It was an AA necklace. Which shows that he is sober
That's why he's so preachy? Lolz

Re: Eminem

Every album: legendary, except for Encore, which was sub-par, but better than most other rappers' stuff.

Just look at my username for proof I'm an Eminem fan. Cold Wind Blows... that's a song by Eminem. I was listening to it at the time I joined. I couldn't think of a username. Hilarity ensued.

Re: Eminem

I usually dislike rap in general, but I have to say Eminem is one talented artist. I agree that he does need to have some variation in his music, but he's still an amazing lyricist. My favourite song by him is definitely "Mockingbird". I also really like "Stan", "Cocaine", "Beautiful", "The Way I Am" and "Guilty Conscience" (this one always makes me laugh lol!).

Gotta say I'm a fan of Fack, Stan (w/ Elton John), and The Way I am.
