Re: Phantom of the Opera, West End

Never seen it in London (though I do adore many of the performers who've been in the production)... I got to see the US Tour before it closed, though. That was back in 2009, when John Cudia played the Phantom. He was great... admittedly not as violent or intense as I generally like my Phantoms to be (my top faves are Peter Karrie and Kevin Gray, to give you an idea), but I loved his performance nonetheless. I wonder... could this be a topic for all productions of Phantom, and not just West End? Or would it be better to start a second topic?

Re: Phantom of the Opera, West End

Well First you have to be sure that you watch the both in the right order: Phantom of the Opera and then Love never dies. My self Ive seen both in theatre or in movies and love both even tho I prefer the first one's story but Still Love never dies is amazing and the songs are quiet better that in Phantom of the Opera where I think most of them are just a bit to sad and dark....x

Oh also just wanted to add, has anyone been to Her Majesty's Theatre in London? I only saw Phantom the film but am looking to go see it in the theatre and wondered if anyone knows of the best seats?

Yeah I saw it in London a few years ago and I loved it! It's one of my favourite musicals! (and I know a lot of musicals!)

I suppose the view is good anywhere in the theatre. The production is so beautiful and stunning and you can see everything from everywhere in the theatre. (Well apart from the top balcony - think it's called the Gallery - they are so high up you're literally looking right down at the stage lol)

Who are everyone's favourite Phantom and Christine?
