My user is just Riku. Nice and simple.

Kind of sad that the beta accounts were deleted, but if it wasn't done purposely then I can forgive. I'm mostly just upset that the layout of the website is completely different then before. I liked the old layout better, easier to get around. Plus, what is there to even do on there right now? Are they still doing the dorm thing?

I kind of liked the old layout better. I wish there was a newsfeed or a place to see who we've added as friends.

The Wizard Cities feature has been added and dorms should be coming in the near future. I know they are working on getting the library up and running too.

To the makers- this is chat/hompage requiring a Premium Membership (otherwise it is quite dull), for which you charge money yearly. Are you actually legally allowed to sell HP-related stuff ? This is a question I don't know the answer to yet and it kind of bothers me..

I'm not a maker, but i don't think they plan to charge. I think Cardin will get money via the advertisements, while everyone else is a "volunteer."

They are not selling any HP stuff, nor are they permitted to. The chat on the home page is actually not a MyHogwarts chat. It's an embedded chat from LiveStream and does not profit MyHogwarts at all. I don't even think that will be there forever. They just had that for the live stream of the launch on Friday and it hasn't been taken down. You can use the chat box without signing up for anything though.

MyHogwarts is run completely by volunteers. I think the ads on the site will generate revenue to help fund the technical aspect.

The dorms are now open! I've noticed that there's no option for a dorm jump? Not that I want to go to a different dorm, but I just wonder if they'll add it later. I'm happy that my dorm seem like a cheery bunch. I like this chat system better then the one that was in for beta. I am pretty excited to see how this site with evolve.

Yes, the dorm jump feature will be added eventually and wand prods will be back as well.

I think they got off to a rough start, but I am pleased to see that they are releasing new features quickly. The library is due out sometime today.

I agree. looks like they've fixed the underlying coding issues and are able to move forward. It's really starting to look good!

I think I miss the news feed most, and I'm most looking forward to the Library and user created classes.

And is the wrockbox not working for anyone? Is it supposed to start playing when you open the page or is there a button or link I have to push?

No way to look anyone up, but there are ways to find people.

If you know their username, add it to the end of this URL:

I've been finding people by adding friends i know and looking at their comments on their profiles. I've found several people I knew from Beta that way.

Once you find someone you want to add, click the button on their profile, and it will send them a friend's request.

Sorry - can't help with wrok box. I avoid it.

Honestly when I first joined myHogwarts, I was rather disappointed with the layout of everything. It just..doesn't feel very Harry Potterish. Like, I don't know I guess it's just me. xD

But, I am pretty excited about the classes they're going to start up. Interested in seeing how that goes.
