Granted. When the fire went out Goyle grabed the diadmun and put it on. It made him so smart that he figured out how to escape and he took the diadmun back to Voldy.

I wish Serius hadden't had to stay in the caves when he came to Hogwarts.

Granted. he went to live in the Shrieking Shack. Snape found him there and called in the Aurors who took him to Azkeban. he was still there when Harry was at Grimmauld place. Harry didn't save him in Dept of Mysteries, he died when his soul was sucked out by a Dementor.

I wish Crabbe and Goyle weren't so mean.

Granted. They have become so nice that they skip through the hallways and say hello to everyone they pass, sometimes handing out flowers.

I wish that Filch wasn't a squib.

I wish Lockhart didn't force everyone to buy his books for his DADA classes.

Granted. He forces them to buy serious, heavy, thick books. They all develop arm strains and bad backs.

I wish Sirius wasn't so freaking depressed in Order of the Phoenix.

Granted. He is so optomistic that he leaves #13 against Dumbledore's orders and is caught right away. When Harry sees images of Serius being torturd they are real and he is forced to hand over the profecy so that Malfoy doesn't kill serius. After Malfoy gets the prophacy, Bellatrix kills SErius anyway.

I wish Bella combed her hair once in a while.

Granted. She looks so attractive with her well-groomed hair, that Harry falls in love with her and is easily lured by Bellatrix to Voldemort.

I wish Ron wasn't always so hungry.

Granted. Ron has no appatite and does not eat, so he does not grow and ends up just a little taller than Dobby

I wish Harry had gotten to know real Moody better.

Granted. He knew all his deepest darkest secrets, and was greatly disturbed by what he knew. This greatly distracted him from his journey.

I wish Umbridge didn't steal Mad Eye's eye.

Granted. No eye on the door to Umbridge's office, not quite enough time for Harry to rifle through her stuff without being detected, despite the use of the Detonator. He is caught and, well, tortured to death , in the final book Voldemort And Umbridge And The Deathly Hallows.

I wish Umbridge had never been invented.

Granted. Instead of Umberidge being put in charge of the school, the carrows were.

I wish Voldy had not killed the unicorns.

granted. Quirrell was not able to drink unicorn blood, Harry was not able to stop him from getting the Philosopher's stone. Voldemort was able to kill Harry and the series was never finished.

I wish Dumbledore did not leave in the OoTP.

I wish Neville had had better luck.

granted. Neville had so much luck that he became jealous of Harry and they dueled. Harry became injured and Neville took over the hunt for horcruxes. Unfortunately, he could not open the locket, and he could not see into Voldemort's mind, and he didn't know where to find the other horcruxes. Voldemort lived.

I wish Harry talked with Cho about Cedric dying.

Granted. He told her what happened but she got angry and blamed Harry for Cedric's death. She left the DA and never spoke to Harry ever again. She moved overseas to get over her broken heart and never came back.

I wish Harry and Ron had taken Muggle Studies so we could have seen that class.

Another great thing about it would be that she would not drag Marrietta to the meetings and DD would not have to leave Hogwarts in OotP.

Granted. Jo got so involved with explaining Muggle studies that she did not add History, so we did not include the CoS or potions, so Harry did not win the Felix Felic.. and he never got the info out of Slughorn and all his friends died because they did not take it.

I wish Dobby had not been killed by Bellatrix.

Granted. Bellatrix had very, very, bad aim, so she struck Narcissa and killed her. Later in the story, when Voldemort AK's Harry in the forest, he sent Bellatrix instead. Bellatrix confirmed Harry's living status, and a second AK was sent, killing him for sure. Harry is no longer alive to send protective spells to the students/teachers/OotP members in the last battle.

I wish Peter Pettigrew wasn't a marauder.

Granted. Petegrew was never a Murauder and he openly haed them for smubbing him and became friends after SWM. Then they both joined Voldy and Pettigrew, who knew where Lily was, from Snape, gave the potters up right away.

I wish wands would not do evil magic.
