I expect that we will need to have had it made for the Polyjuice Potion chapter. That's the next one, isn't it? Then it's a strategic decision for the batch split to be right before it, allowing us plentiful time to brew the potion.

I tried the swelling solution the other day, but I ended up stuffing the heat up on the second phase which was annoying... I'll get back to it when I have the time...

I have a funny feeling that we are going to need that polyjuice potion when the trio uses it in the book to get into the Slytherin common room to talk to Draco.

Spoiler: show
Have you double-clicked a few times to get the W Willow to attack you? The glove box opens during the tree's attack - one card + one toffee to collect. As you 'ZOOM' back out - the car restarts - Only then can you collect the Fluxweed in front of the driver's side of the car just a little to the right of the tree.

Hope this helps.

I had to go into the Control Panel - Display settings on my computer and up the screen resolution a couple times, until my old computer was crawling at snail pace and one step away from crashing, before I was able to collect the fluxweed (or whichever plant) was in that one, because it was otherwise off-screen for me.

I think you may be right!

I'm not sure I like the new potions lab. We get to use our own wands, but they just barely twitch and it's not quite as satisfying as the lightning bolts. The flames are wimpy. The black on tan counter tags are harder to read and the green on the thermometer is not as bright and therefore harder to tell when temps are in the proper range.

It's possible that those having difficulties with the site giving erroneous overheating messages may have slower systems that aren't responding quickly enough so you see one thing and the programming another. Try clearing your cached content regularly (daily or before each mixing session) and don't have other programs open in the background when mixing potions. Just a suggestion. I'd report the problem too.

Anyone else finding the Swelling Solution really hard to brew? I keep messing it up when I heat it in part 2. I'm not quick enough to turn the fire off and I don't have the attention span to keep my eyes focused on that narrow bit for that long

I made it the first time through with a copper cauldron. But you've got me thinking--I wonder if a gift of a Swelling Solution would fill the requirement for those having trouble making it?

The artwork is enchantingly beautiful as always!

It would be superb if any kind souls could gift the swelling solution to see it works! My screen won't load the brewing process for the swelling solution at all, I just get a grey sign saying I need to download updates. The other potions still load and play perfectly. Anyway, I've tried upgrading to Explorer 9, but it was unsuccessful as it appears I have some others extras to sort out.

ETA: I've happily collected the various items, except when I enter Lockhart's Office where I can't retrieve four objects. Then the galleon at Nearly Headless Nick's Party (other things worked fine). Finally, in Enemy's Of The Heir, Beware, I can't collect the objects there either. After this point, the chapters return to working great again.

maybe I've been playing too many FB games but there should be a way to speed up the cauldons, by giving back a few galleons or something.

The swelling solution? Yes, please - it'll be cool to test whether it works in opening the secret in the potions class. I'm MahoganyAccio3633. Would you like me to send you a potion ingredient like Pufferfish Eyes in return?

I managed to crash the car! WOW! Unfortunately the dash compartment didn't open and now I can't get the car to crash again. Oh well . . . . . .

I use Chrome and find that I have to go to the full screen mode in case that helps anyone else.

Verena: it works! Snape's secret store cabinet opened, when I accepted the gift and it was transfered to my supply of brewed potions! Thank you for your help!

This is good news! I suspect we are going to need Polyjuice Potion for something later on as well. Those with problems brewing potions will be delayed in their advancement on the site, but those who have the knack can help them out.

The potioneer will still get and retain house points for brewing the potion (except for Polyjuice, where points aren't awarded) and help fellow students out. And those receiving could perhaps offer to trade potion ingredients. Do we have a market for potions now? Interesting.

Does anyone else need a Swelling Solution?

Re: Pottermore v.11

Anyone who needs a Swelling Solution should include their full Pottermore name and accept friending requests from the potioneer--or else the transfers cannot be made.

That's a wonderful idea. I'm hopeless at potions. I'll exchange anything the kind potion maker wants (if I have it of course) for a gift of the swelling solution. I have lots of frog cards, Bertie Botts all-flavoured beans, potion ingredients and a few objects (shears, trowels, gloves, etc.).

Which operating system are you running? Internet Explorer 9 doesn't support Windows XP or anything earlier -- even though a rather sizable percentage of the populace are still running Windows XP on their computers (myself included until I can get this old computer replaced).

I do, if you would be so kind. HeartGhost13269 Do you want any ingredients or objects in exchange?
