I once played Eeyore in a school play. I was in 4th/5th grade so I was somewhere in the age range of 10-12... Still can't remember how I was roped into doing it...

I was also Charlie Brown in a classroom "production" (it was performed in a classroom) because no one else wanted to be Charlie Brown. I had to sing and my castmates screwed up the song.

I was in the chorus for my school's productions of "Hair" and "Grease". It was really fun!
And then last week I got the chance to work back stage for "Bare: A Pop Opera".

My drama teacher made me play Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet" when I was a senior in high school. I was less than enthusiastic about it because I thought Juliet was a bit of a wimp.

I have two degrees in theatre and was in a number of productions during my undergraduate and graduate career (including Harvey, Pride and Prejudice, & Anastasia). I also worked behind the scenes as a wigmaker/makeup artist. I love the theatre, and I miss performing.

Re: Have you performed on stage

I've only ever performed in small things: a dance sort of thing in the town's main theatre when I was really young, a couple of plays (one which won an award) during my stay in a drama group (I played the penguin Mumble from the film Happy Feet and also Winter, as in like a season-character).
As for school productions, I distinctly remember a major production in primary school (I think I was was a sailor or something. It was also in the main theatre). I've also been in our drama class both last year and this year (sadly though, I can't continue it in my last two years of high school) so I've been in a variety of small pieces, most which have had a small audience.
My favourite performance was done this year and it was an original play the group of us four came up with: it had to be song based (we chose "We Speak No Americano") and we had to incorperate some physical stances/positions that we were learning at the time. It was about an illegal immigrant coming to America and the airport sercurity guard (me) ends up chasing her around the country (the two other girls indicated the setting or objects we interacted with as we went. eg: the statue of liberty, a restaurant, a boat, a rollercoster, etc.) and I finally catch her in the end. Triumph! It was our drama teacher's favourite of the three groups and she let us perform it at assembly. It was a hit: teachers commented afterwards too. Afterwards, our teacher even chose it to fill a vacant spot for the school's major production that consisted of muscial groups and dance groups (it also hosts drama but I think we were the only group in this category this year). Again, it was a hit.
