Well, Phoenix has cooler weather, and it's almost October. Some people celebrate Octoberfest with Brats, Beer, and music

Halloween has come and gone. next up is America's Thanksgiving. This is supposed to be the Never Ending Party and I think it has ended.

Well, Halloween was rather wet and windy here in New England, what with Hurricane Sandy then today a nor'easter that turned into Winter Storm Athena. So, where I am, kids will celebrate Halloween this coming Saturday. It's never too late to celebrate!

If people are politically-minded, we could also celebrate the result of the US presidential election... I have only just taken off the Support Obama line from my signature, I wouldn't mind drinking a toast to the president's second term.

You're right, Merry Marge, Thanksgiving is around the corner. Time to go look for a turkey with all the trimmings! The party need not end.

my favorite Thanksgiving dinner--Baked ham with pineapple rings, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, stuffing, mashed potaotes with gravy, biscuits, celery, radishes, olives, pickles, lime jello with fruit, pumpkin bread, apple cider, and hot coffee afterwards. Pumpkin pie or minced meat pie for dessert. Yum!!

Not sure if I will be home or not. I have been invited to a cousin's for Thanksgiving, but my mother-in-law might want us to come over. She has been out visiting every year for the past 10 years or so, and we haven't had Thanksgiving with her lately.

I just had a great dinner at my cousin's. she had turkey, ham, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, gravy biscuits, olives, green bean casserole, tufu turkey, stuffing, jello, two cakes and a couple of pies, plus wine, sodas, coffee. The funny thing, after one dish of stuffing was eaten, someone was looking for seconds, he was told to look in the fridge, but couldn't find any because the fridge was stuffed full of food. the next day, my cousin's husband was going to clean the oven; he opened the oven first and found the rest of the dishes of stuffing.
afterwards, some played cards, some talked and a couple of people went to the mall. This was Thursday night, around mid-night.

Well, Thanksgiving has come and gone. Time to decorate for Christmas and other Dec. Holidays. the Holiday calendar for COS is being worked on. This should be a good time to party.

Anyone have snow yet? It's still warm here in Phoenix. Thanksgiving day, lots of people either cooked turkey on the grill, or just ate outside.
I am drinking hot cocoa, but only because I want to and not because it's cold.
