No, you won't get an automatic notification. If we consider the reported post problematic we will send you an owl to discuss it. That owl can consist of a formal or informal warning.

In some cases a post can be part of a wider problem inside a thread with several troublesome posts. In those cases we address the issue in the thread itself to drag everyone back from the dark side.

No, not from the forums software.

Staff reacts to every reported posts, but we don't tell the member who reported a post what we did. Of course sometimes one sees an in-thread of staff shortly after, but that's neither the only possible reaction nor - in most cases - the only only action staff usually does. Most things happen behind the curtains.
Keeping things private is both to make sure a member is not scared to use the bottom, and for privacy reasons of the one who might have violated a forum's rule. Hope you understand.

But you can ask any member of staff any time, if the reported post came through, if you're in doubt for technical reasons. To confirm it's income is certainly something we can do.

I was wondering when we would be going back to our normal CoS skin ? I like the Xmas one but its now well past Xmas .

I asume that the admins will remove the Christmas skin as default when they have time for it. But you can change the skin yourself as well, either via magical me or via the button aka change skin option which can be found under the CoS Forums banner.

Thank you for the new main page of COS forum. I have checked some of the "skins" you have listed. Unfortunately, I don't like the background colors because they are too dark but I love the pictures. I will stick to the COS lite, because it's easy on my eyes, but could someone update the pictures at the top of the page?

I'm sorry but I don't think that updating skins will be a top priority any time soon.

Btw. The HPB skin with it's green background is rather easy on the eyes too.

I download all my owls as text and save them on my computer. One benefit of making it into Hogsmeade is an increase in owlery capacity - I think that is the only remedy.

There's a few of us in the writing section who are keen on doing a speed writing competition- kinda like a longer version of NaNoWriMo- is that OK here? I can do all of the thread stuff- we're planning on launching 2nd April, and closing on 1st July.

Also I'd like someone to make some graphics for the competition- is there anywhere I can ask for these? I would like one for taking part and one for completing, to be put in signatures. Will that be OK?

You can ask for a graphics maker in Magical Masterpieces, Artist Unite or maybe someone will offer themselves to you when they read this
