I love Jason Isaacs. I can't remember how I imagined him when I read the book but he definitely does a wonderful job. He plays evil so well especially in "The Patriot", and now he's Captain Hook in "Peter Pan". I bet I'll love him in that as well.

SammyAurore, do you know when will "Peter Pan" premiere be, perhaps?

When I first saw Isaacs as Lucius in the trailers, I was hyped. He was PERFECT [in my eyes] for such an evil father.
He did well as Lucius, I thought that the casting department did a very fine job. He has that evil vibe, he certainly potrays such a twisted fatherly figure in an excellent way.

Isaacs is a great actor, his portray of Lucius somewhat reminded me of his performance as the baddie of The Patriot. Too bad he doesn't appear in PoA.

He does a great job as Lucius. Im am so glad that got him to do the part because when I see him I am scared for the people around. He gives off such an evil feel and thats a sign of a great actor.

Isaacs was great - which makes me wonder if the rumor that he doesn't want to be in anymore HP movies is true cause if it is that's sad. However I don't see why people think he's "yummy." Alan Rickman is very yummy, especially that spine melting voice of his. But Isaacs - well, just not my type.

Jason Isaacs is my favourite actor, and has been since The Patriot came out. I had gone to see it in the theaters, and saw him there, and went to see it 7 more times cause of him. I have every single movie he's been in, even if it's just a tiny part, like in "Shopping." When I saw him in CoS, I literally screamed in the shows. I didn't know he was in it. My friend thought I was having a heart attack lol. But he does play evil, VERY well. Colonel Tavington, in The Patriot, is really the most evil man I've ever seen played. He was just soooo good though. He plays Lucius Malfoy very well too.
I hope he's around for the fifth movie. I wish they could pass up the fourth and go straight to the fifth. <sigh>

Did you see the video clip where they were rehearsing? I think they were running through the part in the bookshop. Jason accidentally smacked Daniel Radcliff with that cane of his, right over the head. So then he pulled him over, patted him on the head, and went "sorry luv" in this really funny English accent. Freaky, but funny,

Jason Isaacs was cast PERFECTLY for the role of Lucius Malfoy! He is exactly how I imagined Lucius to be! From his appearance right down to his supreme arrogance. He's brilliant!

Yeah I loved that, lol... he pushed Dan into the archetrave of the arch, right? He's cool in his interviews too

Well, you described it pretty well - it was an accident, Lucius was shoving "that potter boy" Harry to the side with his cane, 'cept Dan was in a position where Jas pushed him into the archway (or was it a column). Oh and it wasn't the bookstore - it was DD's office. And it wasn't rehearsal, it was a miss-take. And as you said went "ooh, oh oh, sorry love" and patted Dan's head (lucky Daniel) hehe. It was just so funny to see him being so commanding and austere and evil and then "oh you poor dear" lol.

Ah, right. Sorry, it's a while since i've seen it. (That, and my memory is terrible.) I just thought it was so cute. And I read something where Jason said he was terrified of cracking Tom (Felton) across the fingers, from that bit in Borgin and Burkes where he keeps just missing Draco's hands. Must have been pretty hard to do, I think.
I love the COS DVD interviews with him.
It's typical. There were dozens of interviews, linked in an old thread. Just when I decide to go find them, I realise that a whole load of the old threads have gone! ARGH.

Was it in the 'making of' featurette o_O hmmm, i was there thinking it was on DVD, but it couldn't be could it? Good thing I have it on video *hem hem*. I saw an interview with Jas a couple weeks ago, he related a story how he was recognised, by this 6ft4 biker looking guy who had a piece of his nose missing, as "that evil guy" and Jason thought he was talking about recognising him from Black Hawk Down (which i recommend, if only for his, Ewan's, Orlando's and Eric Bana's performances) or The Patriot but no, this guy knew him as Lucius. When Jason asked how old his kids were the guy frowned and said "what are yer talking about, i saw it by myself, 4 times". It was really funny how he told it... I just love his real voice (oh and his fake ones too actually).

Oh nuts. I would have liked to have seen that. Oh well... I suppose I should start watching cheezy entertainment tonight type tv shows so I can keep up with these things. Well maybe when POA is being released. Not much worth watching for until then.
