I didn't say that. I listed all of the British shows I watch - some of which aren't on air here anymore, and some are. Unless I've just had bad luck of not catching them on!

Embarassing fact- I bought the complete boxset of Gimme Gimme Gimme last week for a fiver- total cheese, and slightly dated (Steps are Abba for the nineties- or is that noughties...) but still funny

Re: Fans of British television shows...

I love British shows, because of the British humour. I've watched Skins and stuff, but my main is Mr. Bean (I have like, four Mr. Bean CDs-and I love all the episodes!) and Mind Your Language.

Re: Fans of British television shows...

My favorite shows are A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Black Adder, and Sherlock.

I am really interested in watching Doctor Who...but I don't know where I should start. I don't have a ton of time and so I was either going to start with series 4 or wait a few weeks until series 5 comes out and watch that. Is there a continuity theme in the new series with Matt Smith that I would not get because I haven't watched series 4? Or am I OK starting with 5?

Thanks!

I so so so wish they would put Mr Bean back on PBS. He's just a favorite in our house.
But I am happy that I just found out that one of the PBS channels is running 'My Family' again every night. Yay!

I'm quite impressed by Tennant's new drama, it's really sad

What's it called again? It was on BBC1 last night.

Not that I'm pimping it or anything (well, OK, I lie - I am!), but Sherlock, which was the smash hit of this summer on UK TV, is airing in the US on PBS starting from October 24th.

I'm British and I think it is the best British TV series I've seen for about 20 years.

Cool ... I wish I had BBC America... dang it *stomps my feet* ... then I could finally watch it. But no... they have to have BET in the line up and stuff instead... stupid cable company .

I'm actually a big fan of 'As Time Goes By'. It had Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer, and the writing was absolutely brilliant!

Yea I like catching reruns of it on PBS. It never fails to make me laugh . They're so silly at times .

Watched it for the first time today. It was too "chav" for my liking. Although... the Irish-curly-haired guy was pretty funny. Not something I liked.

Also watched part of "Meet the family" today. Nothing amazing or original but good for a few laughs.

The highlight of the evening was watching Russell Howard's Good News.

I started watching Corrie again this week for the big 50th anniversary plotline. I don't ever cry at films or tv, but some moments were just so cruel. It was great stuff, and the live episode was very well done.

Re: Fans of British television shows...

Since British series are so scarce here I have to buy the DVDs, but I love so many shows that it's hard to get all. I just got series 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Touch of Frost, that I will be watching during the holidays and on the TV I just finished watching the 3rd season of Merlin, 5th season of Doctor Who (still miss Tennant) and the 4th season of Lewis. I hope that they bring Single Father, but I'm sure it will take a long time.
