Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

I forgot about the moment with Hagrid and the bird, which I did see.

No, ABC doesn't include any deleted scenes. Instead they remove them and lines of dialogue:

- "Yes, Aunt Petunia" or "Yes, Uncle Vernon"
- Uncle Vernon's talking to Harry before they go to the zoo
- "Isn't it wonderful? We have a witch in the family."
- Doris Crockford's interaction with Harry
- Harry waving the wand and the vase exploding
- Hermione pointing out to Ron he has dirt on his nose

That's all the deleted stuff I can remember for now.

Quasi-bump. Some TV systems are having a free HBO/Cinemax weekend starting tomorrow including FIOS, DirectTV, and AT&T U-Verse. COS is showing multitimes thru the weekend on Cinemax. Why spiders? Why couldn't it be "follow the butterflies"?

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Was doing my obsessive HP check on Zap2it and was pleasantly surprised to see that they have started to list a new marathon coming They've just started to add the schedule but here's what's showing:

Thursday ~ 1-23 - GOF - 7:30-11:00 pm (Eastern time)
Friday ~ 1-24 - GOF - 4:30-8:00 pm

Friday ~ 1-24 - OotP - 8:00-11:00 pm

Once the whole thing is posted, I'll do the full schedule.

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

I guess it's safe to say that Zap2it has finished posting the HP schedule...although, they seemed to have stopped at a strange place, as you will see:

Thursday ~ 1-23 ~
GOF - 7:30 pm - 11 pm (Eastern time)

Friday ~ 1-24 ~
GOF - 4:30 pm - 8:00
OotP - 8:00 pm - 11:00

Saturday ~ 1-25 ~
OotP - 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
HBP - 1:00 pm - 4:30
DH 1 - 4:30 pm - 8:00
DH 2 - 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
DH 2 - 11:00 pm - 2:00 am

Sunday ~ 1-26 ~
DH 1 - 8:30 am - 12 noon

Unless they add more, they're stopping after DH 1 on Sunday, I would have thought they would have shown DH2 again on Sunday afternoon. If it shows up I'll be sure to add it.

What stinks is that despite it being the Canadian equal of ABCF, ABCSpark NEVER airs the Harry potter movies...

I'd like to think that was a compliment to brattyc and not sarcasm.

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Bump. SS on Friday 3/28 7:30PM and again Saturday 3/29 9:30AM, followed by POA at 1PM. That's all that shows so far but could be a full day marathon that Saturday. Will post again when more shows. The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter.

Looking good. GOF at 4PM. Bloody kids.

Re: ABC Family's Versions of the HP movies

Looks like you beat me to it I'm showing GoF on the 29th now...I think it's safe to say we're about to be Potterized again

Wish HBO would give up CoS so we could have a true Potter marathon.
