Barring an antimiracle, I will be seeing Pearl Jam at Jazz fest in May.

And now I can move Jimmy Eat World/Sunny Day Real Estate/Glassjaw/RX Bandits/Motion City SOundtrack to the "seen" list. 4 awesome bands (MCS suck arse) for just $50 - that's value.

Bold are updates from my last post. I saw Paramore, AFI, Placebo, Jane's Addiction, Faith No More, HIM and Set Your Goals (for a second time) at Soundwave Festival today. I only endured Paramore because I wanted to keep my spot at the front for Placebo. My goodness their singer has an incredibly annoying voice! Placebo really blew my mind. I've been a fan for years and this was the first chance I'd had to see them live. Wonderful band. Jane's Addiction are a band I never thought I'd get to see but it was worth the wait. Perry Farrell is a great frontman. I only went to check out HIM to relive my teen angst years. They're easily one of the most boring live bands I've had the misfortune of seeing. Was very disappointed. Faith No More were great.

Saw Marilyn Manson for a second and third time last year both of which were outstanding as I expected.

Wow you are so lucky. I would LOVE to see those ones in concert and actually meet some of them. What did you think of Chiodos? They used to be one of my favorite bands but I don't care for their choice to kick Craig Owens out....

I'm not big on Chiodos. I only saw them because they were supporting Anberlin. They were ok but I wouldn't go to one of their shows.

Re: Which bands/singers have you seen live?

I've seen embarrassingly few bands. Excluding festivals:

David Sylvian (x2)
Julian Cope
Michelle Shocked
Jewel
Art Garfunkel
Transglobal Underground
Jim Moray

I'm sure there's more than that - that's really pathetic!

Re: Which bands/singers have you seen live?

A Fine Frenzy and James Morrison are the only two I've seen live. Well, I've seen many, many others as well but then I either won tickets, a friend won tickets, I saw them at some free concert and I didn't really "wanted" to see them. You know what I mean.

For both A Fine Frenzy and James Morrison I bought tickets myself and they were both amazing. Especially A Fine Frenzy - when she sang 'Almost Lover', every single person in the room sang with her. That was kind of magical. The song after that she sang another slow song (which I can't remember the title of) and she sang her own lyrics wrong. So she stopped, she said something like "You guys were so amazing last song, I forgot my own lyrics" and then she went quiet for a moment and sang the song again.

And maybe I'll see Jónsi live in November, although that's not sure yet!

Only Bob Dylan and Cindi Lauper. It's amazing how few GOOD musicians come to Argentina (especially Cordoba, which is where I live)
