They made 3 graves, but we never actually saw Carol's body (and neither did they...they just found her head scarf thing). In TV world, no body = no death. Carol's not dead. Maybe turned, like Sofia, but not dead.

*Note: For the purposes of this post, I'm assuming 3 states of being: Alive, Turned, Dead. So don't give me that "well if she's turned, she's dead" stuff

Spoiler: show
Well, we technically didn't see Carl shoot Lori in the head, or see her body afterward, but I'm pretty sure it happened...

That said, check out the preview for next week for clues about Carol!

Re: The Walking Dead

I thought the baby feeding would involve some sort of induced lactation with one of the other women. I did not think they'd find any generic milk for the kid still around. Dunno how they're going to keep that baby around. Rick looks like he's about to lose it. He needs some time out. I do wonder if those other guys are finding some way to reverse the effects of the epidemic.

Haha, yeah yeah...you got me on a technicality

Seriously though I was a bit surprised they didn't show the shot you referred to, considering all the other gore they've shown, including regular cast members when they're killed off.

Would that be because the actor playing Carl is still a minor?

Most likely.

Just to point out - they dug 3 graves. No need to do that unless you have 3 bodies. A TWD buddy suggested they might show what happened to Carol in flashbacks, because:
Spoiler: show
In the graphic novels one of the prisoners is a psychopathic serial killer. Guess which one that is. I think Carol was murdered by a human.

I am not sure how that's possible. Lori ended up most likely in the walkers stomach. The scene with Rick and the walker certainly seemed to indicate that.

As for Carol, they only showed her bloody headscarf. T-Dog's body was found and most likely buried.

So I was a bit confused by the 3 graves.

One possibility:
Spoiler: show
They found a mangled body and thought it could be Carol and buried it.

I think there was enough of Lori left to bury - else they wouldn't have dug a grave for her.

There was a body near Carol's headscarf, that wasn't T-Dog's.

At this point they would be able to differentiate between a walker, which wouldn't have been chewed up by other walkers, and a fresh human body. I think it's very likely that Carol is gone. But I would prefer to be wrong! They are just going to have to explain three fresh human bodies.

Re: The Walking Dead

I thought the graves were symbolic, ultimately. I'm sure they intended to bury Lori and Tdog, but by the time the graves were dug Lori was completely eaten. They could have buried that hunk of meat that was Tdog, but they only found Carols scarf--no body found. Maybe they buried the scarf? And Loris grave is empty, so perhaps Carols is, too.

I guess I'll have to watch it again - we see the bloody spot where Lori died, but I think they moved the body to the grave or somewhere else preparatory to burial. There were no walkers in that room with her - they were out of walker danger at the time.

There was a body near the scarf and I don't think it was T-Dog's.

And why dig the graves so deep if there weren't any bodies? Depth of a grave is simply for preventing wild animals from digging it up.

But, I will have to watch again and take better notice. Tough job.

They didn't move the body, a walker ate Lori's body. It had her hair in it's mouth. That's why Rick went all crazy on it.

Didn't we see Carol leave though? We see her open a door to the outside, and leave right after T-Dog gets mauled by the walkers.

Like freelantzer, I found the graves to be more symbolic than there actually being bodies in the grave.

Ok, I don't remember that at all. Guess I'll have to watch the last few episode over again.

We do see Carol leave the room where T-Dog is holding off the walkers. We don't see her death at all. We just see a body and her head scarf nearby (the only time we see her wear one, btw.)

^Yes, we see Carol leave with her scarf on. When they find Tdogs remains, they find Carols scarf there and assume she is also dead. I was under the impression that the remains there were Tdogs and that that's who the other characters thought it was, too. I don't remember why I got that impression. Something they said must've made me think they had found what was left of Tdog

Re: The Walking Dead

The graves were dug with the hopes that they could bury everyone. I am betting Carol is still alive and hiding somewhere in the prison. It just seems too odd for them to leave her death so up in the air like that.

When she ran out the door, her headscarf was on. Later on they found it on the ground back inside the prison. So that would mean she went back inside.

I know!

Spoiler: show
I knew she would be behind that door, a walker or still living. Michonne found the group, and she brought the supplies! Also...Zombies don't seem to notice her? The drinks responsible?

No, the guts are responsible, just like in the season 1 episode, Guts, where Rick and Glen walk among the Walkers covered in guts.

Loved Daryl finding Carol.

That did cross my mind, but with the speculation on if the drinks in Woodbury are doing anything to the residents my mind just went there first. It seems like whenever we go to Woodbury someone is drinking something.

Re: The Walking Dead

Okay! The series seems back on track for the last two episodes - at which I'm very pleased!

Carl is really stepping up as the fellow in charge and turning out to be a very smart kid!

No, Michonne, you kill the Governor first, then take out the Penny zombie.

Spoiler: show
I think that the Governor is going to let Daryl and Merle "escape" so that Merle can be his inside man at the prison.

And the psychopath begins to come forth!

And Tyrone makes his appearance!

Overall, a terrific episode!

I really like how Carl's character has changed. He's turning into this kid that is bred to survive this world. If I had any predictions on how this show is going to end, it would be with Carl surviving.

Michonne kicked some butt! My heart was racing throughout that whole thing (throughout the whole episode really).

Spoiler: show
I have no doubt that Daryl and Merle will make it out alive just based on the previews. Would Merle really help the Governor though? After all that?

Also, did anyone notice that the new group in the prison never smashed that girl's head in yet? During the whole episode I was screaming 'Leave her!', I mean, really. She's been bitten. She's dead. She's done. Carl knew that.
