1. If you could spend a day with any Harry Potter character who would you choose and why?

I've thought about it, quite a bit, and I think... Luna Lovegood. I see a lot of myself in her character, although I'm much more reserved. I've had my things stolen and hidden, I've been teased, I've been shunned. I would love to spend the day with someone who is not afraid of being considered strange and will not sacrifice her personality in order to fit in.

2. Which Deathly Hallow would you choose?

The cloak always seemed to do Harry well! Haha. I wouldn't want the stone; I've been fortunate enough to not lose anyone my heart would be aching to see again. Even if I did, I don't think it would be fair to steal them from their eternal rest for my own selfish purposes. I have no purpose for the wand, either. The cloak, on the other hand, seems eternally useful.

3. Which magical pet would you bring with you to Hogwarts?

I love my kitties! I would definitely bring along a cat to Hogwarts. Side-reason: growing up, my mother was allergic to cats and I was never allowed to have one (understandable). Hogwarts-aged me might have been able to convince her that bringing a cat to Hogwarts was a win/win: I'd have a cat, she'd only see it for three months out of the year.

4. What would be your favorite subject at Hogwarts?

Astronomy, for sure. It's the one thing that never ceases to amaze me-- it's like magic for muggles, and who knows how much more wondrous for magical folk? Plus, those neat little solar system and galaxy models... I'd probably have those sitting on my bedside.

5. If you could ask J.K. Rowling to write one thing what would it be?

I'd like to know more about marauder-era Hogwarts. What were the marauders like, what was it like during Voldemort's first rise to power, what it was like being in the order and so forth.

6. Would you play Quidditch? If so which position?

No. Nope. Nuh-uh. I am horrible at sports, and putting me on a broomstick and shooting me hundreds of feet in the air isn't going to help anything. I can't begin to imagine the tumultuous shame and dishonor I'd bring to my house-- they'd probably do much more than mock me with song. I'll gladly sit on the sidelines and cheer for my house, thank you very much.

7. Which magical career would you choose?

I'm split between a book shop and a magical creatures store. I actually do want to open up a pet shop-- adding magic to the mix would be fun. Then again, I love reading and writing is my passion. But I could never see myself making a career out of it. Plus, there's already Flourish & Blotts, and they're pretty well-established. Therefore, I think I would breed and sell magical creatures.

8. What would your patronus be?

Errhh, I'm going to go with a cat. I just can't think of anything else. People have told me they've always thought I was a cat person (even when I had dogs), so there you go.

9. Which magical place would you most like to visit?

Hogwarts. The place where you actually learn everything you'll use in your adult life, where you meet all your friends, and there's endless opportunities for exploration (both physically and mentally).

10. Pick one house you would prefer not to be in. (Optional)

Slytherin. I just don't think I have enough, er, self-preservation? I'm also not very good at leading and I hate breaking the rules.
