Re: Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Reviews

I would give Deathly Hallows an E. Even though stories likethis have been done many times over, and in some cases, better, I thought it was really well done and wraped up everything nicely. It brought forth the entire Wizarding world instead of confining it to Hogwarts, and was actually very realistic. Harry Potter did pretty much what I would of done in his position, and the tone of the book was dark enough that it made me care about Voldemort. In the previous books, I just couldn't get a good grasp on his evilness, and this one did it well. Not to be disrespectful, because I've throughly enjoyed Harry Potter, but Deathly Hallows is the closest HP will ever get to the heights that The Empire Strikes Back reached

EVERYTHING that has transpired has done so according to my design

I gave the DH an 'E' It was engrossing but so many of my questions were not answered. The Prince's Tale was simply superb.

Same here, I gave it an "E". I was engrossed, but at the end of the 749 or so pages, I was a bit disappointed. There were loose ends and unanswered questions (the Veil among others), some people (Sirius, Madam Hooch) or creatures (Fawkes, Buckbeak) I expected to see again didn't appear or appeared too briefly, the "segregation" between Slytherin and the other Houses was too blatant.

This being said, yes the Prince's Tale was superb and so moving. So was Harry walking into the Forest. Hermione was outstanding throughout. The plot was well-built, once you got past some inconsistencies (discussed at length elsewhere). I read it twice in a row in English then started it in French as soon as the French edition came out.

So yes, an "E" by all means.

Deff my favorite book of the 7!!! O!O!O!O! thats all i can say

"'She was there-expecting me, naturally...she hopped down from the high stool at the counter as soon as i walked in and came directly toward me...and the emotions that were emanating from her were like nothing i'd ever felt before. 'you've kept me waiting a long time,' she said.
I hadn't realized Alice had come to stand behind me again. "And you ducked your head, like a good southern gentleman, and said, 'i'm sorry, ma'am.'" Alice laughed at the memory.
Jasper smiled down at her. "You held out your hand, and i took it without stopping to make sense of what i was doing. For the first time in almost a century, i felt hope." (page 301 Eclipse Stephenie Meyer

I gave DH an E because although I enjoyed it immensely, there were questions which I expected to be answered that weren't.
The scene that affected me the most was when Harry walked into the Forbidden Forest to confront Voldemort, with his loved ones by his side.
I enjoyed the Epilogue, although, ideally I would have liked it to go on for another, say 20 chapters

In the slip of a bolt, there's a tiny revolt
the seeds of a war in the creak of a floorboard
a storm can begin, with the flap of a wing
the tiniest mite packs the mightiest sting.

I liked DH alot! It was my favorite of the series. However, I was very disappointed with the epilogue. It has grown on me a bit but not much.

I gave it an 'O' . I still have many questions about it, like what happens to H/R/H after the end of the book & epilogue. The book was very well written, it was like a movie was going on in your head. While I read it the first time, I actually worried about what would happen to the characters.

Re: Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Reviews

It is my favorite book of the series just because I was so emotionally attached to it from beginning to end ... I was left wanting something between "The Flaw in the plan" and the Epilogue, but hey, how can say that I would've been satisfied even if I got that?

I loved it, I still do, I'll always will ... I refuse to say goodbye!
