Re: Best lines in the films?

I'm not sure exactly how this one goes but it's something like this:

Harry: I am not weak!
Snape: Then prove it!
(all of Rickmans lines are simply brilliant)

Snape: Read it, control it, unhinge it.

(I love Snapes lines!)

Hagrid's response is great, too: "As a matter of fact I have. You might like to try the same thing now and again."

Rickman can make pretty much any line great.

“Does she know everything?”
“It’s on his briefcase, Ronald.” I just love how there's that impatient irritation in her voice and the way she calls him "Ronald".

Hagrid's "Sorry 'bout that" after crashing down the door.

"Hermione, you're a girl."
"Oh well spotted."
"Come with one of us?" (SMACK!!)

Harry's "This is not normal" upon seeing himself in the past.

And of course the lines that made me love Filch:

"Oh dear, we are in trouble"

“Was a time detention found you hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons. God, I miss the screaming.”

"There's more than werewolves in those trees, lad. You can be sure of that. Nighty night."

"Why don't you run along and play with you chemistry set!"
"D-d-dementor, dementor!!"
"No one asked your opinion, you filthy little mudblood."
"Why so tense, Potter? My father and I have a bet, you see. I dont think you'll last 10 minutes in the tournament. He disagrees, he doesnt think you'll last five."
"Spiders! They want me to tap dance! I dont wanna tap dance!"
"Mental, that one."
"Not Slytherin, not Slytherin..."
Just thinking off the top of my head!

Re: Best lines in the films?

my favorite line from SS was a deleted scene. it was in snapes classroom and hermione's waving her hand frantically and harry goes "hermione clearly knows!".

from OotP it was harry's "sorry professor, i must not tell lies". it was my fave line in the book as in the movie.

Personally I love Snape's "Yes" and "Obviously". Few people can put so much into two words like RIckman did then.

**** it's funny how he uses the same voice in every movie (well...at least in Love Actually he puts on that apathetic voice)

I think one of the best lines was this:

there are two choices in life:
doing what is right and doing what is easy

Priceless! I love movie Mrs. Weasley, she's perfect.

Also, in SS, when Quirrell runs in to tell everyone about the troll, "Thought you ought to know!" *faint* I just love that!

People clapped in the theater for that!

I also like to add:

-Dobby: Haaaarrry Potter! Such an honor it is!

-Mrs. Weasley: Where haaaaaave you been?! No notes! Car gone! You could've died!

-Ron: Bloody hell. *checks out butt in the mirror* Bloody hell... Murder me Harry.

-Nigel: Parcel for you Mr. Weasley. *Nigel checks Harry out* *Harry looks shiftily to Nigel while eating*
Ron: I told him I'd get him Harry's autograph.

-Tonks: *breathing heavily* Don't. *hair changes color* Call. Me. Nymphadora.

Re: Best lines in the films?

Professor Snape: [taps the blank Marauder's Map with his wand] Reveal your secrets.
[writing appears on the map]
Professor Snape: Read it.
Harry: "Messrs. Mooney, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, offer their compliments to Professor Snape and...”
Professor Snape: Go on.
Harry: "... and request that he keep his abnormally large nose out of other people's business."
HAHA

But it was Rickman' natural voice, which is quite distinctive. Anyway it was the tone he used made Snape's lines great. Funny you mentioned it, Harry in "love actually" sometimes was dark and ironic (like Snape), but not all the time. Snape's 200% apathetic on the surface like no others.

My favorite lines are almost all from Snape. "Well, why aren't you all copying it down?" is the most recent I heard(deleted scene from PS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=an3nqrEF1dE). The rest are from Lockheart.
