I was wrong. Snape is not apathetic even on the surface. After I watched those scenes again(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZywojMy6Ozg spoilers warning: you may not want to watch this if you haven't seen the new OOTP movie), I find Snape had lots of emotion in his lines, especially at the end of the last lesson. I like the two 'enough', the way Alan Rickman present them was so...painful.

Re: Best lines in the films?

Yes... Snape's lines are charming, I'd say. Presents the real Snape. Resembles the Snape in my mind very well. And Luna's. i love her voice.

Snape : No idea.

This is funny, actually.

The second best line, as far as I can remember is when Luna said 'all of our things will come back to us, even though without the way we hoped it to'.

Re: Best lines in the films?

in poa when harry sees himself after he and hermione have gone back in time and he says
''this is not normal''
it is just the way dan says the line and his expression always makes me laugh.

"Sure! Let's all throw books at Myrtle because she can't feel it! 10 points if it goes through her stomach! *Puts hand through Ron's stomach* 50 points if it goes through her head! *Puts hand through Ron's head*"

I love that part!!

Ron: It's been known to happen.

Re: Best lines in the films?

You can point to just about any line from Snape (and most of us have!). Alan Rickman, perhaps more than any of the adult actors, simply gets his part. His Snape fairly leaps off the pages of the book and onto the screen.

My favorite from him? "Well, well, Lupin. Out for a little walk.....in the moonlight, are we?"

I'm not sure I could manage to select a favorite line from Luna Lovegood...every single one is perfect. So much so that despite having seen the film several times now, I have very little impression of Evanna Lynch's acting. It simply was Luna I was watching. What better praise for an actor?

Highlights:

"You're not going mad...I can see them too. You're just as sane as I am."

"Why, we fly, of course!"

"Oh it's all good fun, but as it's the last night, I really do need them back."

"Hungry! I hope there's pudding."

Previously posted as "Thestrel," but decided I didn't like having to spell it wrong to get the name...so I re-rolled!

Re: Best lines in the films?

I love the bit in POA when the fat lady dissapears and Ron and Harry are coming up the moving staircase.

Harry: *Looks at the crowds of people gathering around the Gryffindor common room entrance* What's the hold up?
Ron: *Rolls eyes* Neville's probably forgotten the password again or something.
Neville (standing behind them) Hey!

I always laugh so much at this bit, I donno why.

Oooh and like just about everyone else I LOVE all of Snapes lines, they're wicked.
xx

Re: Best lines in the films?

I know this isn't a line, but i love it in POA when harry, ron, hermione and dumbledore are in the hospital wing, ron is on one fo the beds with his leg in a cast and dumbledore comes over and patts it as he is talking to them. Ron's face is hilarious!!!!

"I know you may not like him, Minister, but you have to admit, Dumbledore's got style." - Kingsley. I LOVED that line. The way he delivered it was perfect.

Snape in OOTP:

"Feeling sentimental?"
It wasnt just the line, but how and where he was, made it really cool.

I remember this one so well from seeing the movie, because this little boy in the theatre, shouted out in exasperation " She's so weird!!" It was hilarious the way he said it, because he was so young, sounded so bemused and the theatre was pretty silent at the time.

"No Idea" (Snape)

"You seem to be under the impression that I would--whats the prase--come quietly..." (Dumbedore)

"You've gotta admit... Dumbledores got style" (Kingsly)

"I'm Sorry Professor but I must not tell lies" (Harry)
