NCAA Basketball

The most emotional games in the world occur on the NCAA courts. Are you a true fan?

Duke Blue Devils vs. UNC Tar Heels
76-83

What a game, the biggest rivalry in College basketball:
Duke Conference Record
14-2
UNC Conference Record
12-2

Duke up by 10 in the first 4 minutes. Redick is 4 for 5, then goes cold. It sucks. I am a Blue Devil fan and to see them lose...

I hate to see Sheldon Williams and J.J. Redick leave without this win.

Hehe, "dook"...

I don't know, but the last time they lost on Senior Night was in 1996. I hate to see them lose.

Who saw the George Washington College game? Passes it for a mid-air lay back right at the buzzer. Number one on all the countodnwn for Sportscenter, ESPN2 and 1, Comcast Sports, Fox, etc.

Florida killed Kentucky. I was surprised. That's only their second lost on senior day!

Re: NCAA Basketball

Who do you think is better, Morrison of Gonzaga or Redick of Duke. I'm going with Redick. I know he is so good and people will think that I like him because of it but that is only part of the reason. The other reason is that we look alike. Do I have a chance? *sighs*

Re: NCAA Basketball

When the pressure is on, G-MAC shines.

Watching that game made me miss SU so much. Campus is probably going wild right now. A pox upon graduation!

Re: NCAA Basketball

Yeah, he is good, but not better than neither Redick nor Morrison.

Duke won today; Redick still not compltely out of his slump and only scored 25 points and 5 assists. He still made the game sealer, so I am glad. I watched the Syracuse game and right now I am watching the Pittsburgh and Villa Nova game. Surprisingly, Villa Nova is winning, unbelievably. That Gray kid sucks, he sucked yesterday and he's sucking now. In the beginning of yesterday's game, gray went 0-9 in the beginning but later got 18 points. At least he recovered himself...

Duke game tomorrow, if you can't catch it, I'll tell you about it.

Re: NCAA Basketball

Right now I am extremely grateful that I didn't watch the Big East Semifinal game between Villanova and Pitt. The descriptions of what happened to Allan Ray on various message boards are bad enough.

Hopefully it isn't a serious injury.

Re: NCAA Basketball

Yeah, I agree. They say that it is not serious though, so no need to worry. I missed the hit, I tuned in right after that. I'm watching the game at Denver. Pretty close, in fact, at the moment it is tied. Williams has 6 blocks and it is only the first 12 minutes.

Re: NCAA Basketball

It does look like Nova's Ray might be ready for the first round of the NCAA tournament. I'm still too cowardly to watch any replays though.

11 Automatic Bids to be decided today. Listed in order of their start time.

C-USA - UAB vs. Memphis
America East - Vermont vs. Albany
A10 - Xavier vs. Saint Joseph's
Pac 10 - California vs. UCLA
MAC - Toledo vs. Kent State
MEAC - Hampton vs. Delaware State
Big East - Syracuse vs. Pittsburgh
SWAC - Arkansas-Pine Bluff vs. Southern
Mountain West - Wyoming vs. San Diego State
Big West - Long Beach State vs. Pacific
WAC - Utah State vs. Nevada

Not much to worry about for the bubble teams with these games. Either both teams are in, or only the winner will make it. There are still at least three teams alive that could take an at-large bid away (South Carolina, Wake Forest, and Nebraska), although they all have very difficult games today.

Edit: San Diego State (23-8) may still get an at-large bid if they lose to Wyoming (14-17), giving the MWC two bids and taking away an at-large.

Oh yes, he is.....Hes in the same league with both those guys. Look at what hes done, lifting his team in the final seconds of two different games in the Big East tourney. Now, Morrison hasnt done that for his team. And Redick isnt doing too much for Duke, seeing as how they are having trouble beating teams like Florida State....

Well, as everyone including Coach K have said, it was emotional problems that made them lsoe. What with Redick breaking all three of those records, I'd suck too.

I watched UNC vs BC.

North Carolina was tied up at one point then went on a 0-9 streak. Boston flew ahead and increased the lead by 13, later on. As the minutes died down, the came within three points. Then, Boston College with two seconds left on the shotclock got an in-out of bounds play layup. Horrible defense by UNC. A final rebound sealed it and Boston College won by three after a missed freethrow.

Re: NCAA Basketball

Excellent, how about those final freethrows. Had J not made them, they would've tied.

There are so many games on right now, I am currently watching WYO vs. SD ST. It is tied at 11.
