Re: Voldemort's Patronus -- Can he conjure one?

Well, I don't know if this has been mentioned (don't really feel like reading through 15+ pages right now), so sorry if it has.

I think that if he doesn't have any happy enough memories, then he obviously can't conjure one. Although I have no doubt he has his fair share, I just don't know if memories of torture and death WITHOUT any love in ones life can make a happy enough memory to conjure a potronus. We don't really know that though, as Jo hasn't mentioned the specifics.

If he can't conjure one, then I think a possibility for his death is by dementor. I think it'd be a pretty fitting end, even if the poor dementors didn't really get a good meal from him

Of course he can't. The most powerful, frightening, merciless, has-gone-farther-than-any-wizard-to-the-path-of-immortality, wizard of all time conjure a patronus? A charm that even Harry, Hermione, Cho and others can produce? I think not. It is outrageous to suggest that Voldemort could even dream of producing this spell.

In case you didn't catch the sarcasm... I was being sarcastic.

A Patronus seems to represent what is in a person's soul. At least, it represents who you are as a person in a way. Also, a Patronus seems to represent all things good. They can't even feel despair.

If Voldemort could produce a Patronus, I think it would be twisted and deformed as he and his soul are.

It's probably the very obvious choice of being a snake, but I can't fathom any reason he would need to conjure one.

This is true. The dementors do whatever he says because he allows them to "feed on" the souls of anyone they want.

And he wouldn't use it to send messages because he doesn't need to. He uses the dark mark, and his deatheaters come to him...so there really isn't a reason

Unless she introduces a new reason for patronuses in DH

oh yes i think that voldemort can conjure a patronus. but the things that he sees as happy moments terrorize everyone else. but they are still happy for him. of course i don't think that he would ever need to conjure one because he doesn't seem like a very happy fellow to me. the dementors probably just see him as another dementor.
