Re: Noticing HP Actors in Other Movies
I saw Trainwreck tonight. Dan Radcliffe was in a movie-within-the-movie called The Dogwalker. It was an angsty, artsy B&W film, where he is a dogwalker interviewing with dog owner Marisa Tomei, proving that he is knowledgeable and caring enough to walk her dog.

Re: Noticing HP Actors in Other Movies
The other year, I went to see Wonder Woman with a friend of mine, and I had no idea David Thewlis was going to be the main villain (Ares, if I recall correctly), and the last time I'd seen him was in the Harry Potter franchise. Needless to say, when I saw him (maustache and all
![]() Thewlis is certainly a talented actor, I must say, being able to play a whole range of characters from the lovable (like Lupin) to the unlovable (like Ares). Ditto for Gary Oldman--loved how he was able to make Sirius appear like a terrifying madman and then later as a loving godfather once Pettigrew's betrayal was exposed and Harry was convinced he was innocent. Doesn't hurt that Oldman is easy on the eyes ![]()

Thewlis was also in RED2, playing a European fence and wine connoisseur - a semi-bad guy, but more like a hedonist who would do whatever it takes to support the extravagant lifestyle he wants.

Re: Noticing HP Actors in Other Movies
I like how often Warwick Davis has been in the Star Wars films, he was most recently in The Rise of Skywalker as Wicket W. Warrick.
I also watched The Darkest Hour recently, Gary Oldman is completely unrecognisable! Between the prosthetics and the character, it's hard to believe this is even the same person who played Sirius. Great performance though. |
