Just thinking outside the box since we seemed to have hit a brick wall.
That's what I've been thinking too. The website didn't even work until like a day later, so we're probably just waiting for more clues.

Re: Muggle Quidditch 2.0?!

Yep, that's pretty much what I was thinking... just sitting tight for a bit, seeing if we find out anything new...

Although one thought I did have (not that it's helped me much, but maybe one of you will get something from it) is that maybe Fawkes is somehow relevant to the clue. "May Fawkes guide your path"... maybe he's somehow supposed to help us figure this out.

I agree that the position of the letter might be important. I went back to aparecium and checked it out once more, and something strange happened.

Can someone please confirm that I'm not going crazy?

Re: Muggle Quidditch 2.0?!

thanks hpredhead, the resume was awesome!
anyways, triwizardgalleonwasps.com/aparecium is asking me for a password as well.

just a thought, what if we need to rearrange the letters that we find on the site? not all the letters but all the possible letters that we have. the possible letters are: f,i,e,a,l,s,t,p
is this right?? if it is, maybe we can try rearranging these letters to form a word instead?

I just went there to see what you meant and nothing strange happened to me. Did you stumble across something that wasn't meant to happen yet???

For those who are asking about the username and password it asks for, it's the same username and password that you had to enter the first time you went to that website, after you solved the initial clues.

Spoiler: show
username = otto. password = veritas

Re: Muggle Quidditch 2.0?!

Yes the aparecium page has changed again. Using the same method as before, I got

Spoiler: show
epistl .aif

or if read vertically:
Code:
e
p
i
s
t
l

.
a
i
f
and if you combine this with the original you get
Code:
e e
i p
l i
  s
f t
p l
s
. .
t a
  i
a f
e
i

Yes, I saw that too. I showed the site to my sister, and there was a P where I was absolutely sure that it wasn't a P before. Now I checked it, and there wasn't a P there before.

But I don't understand it more than before! Is there new letters? I see Vapor has arranged it in the right order, but I must go and write them down myself. That usually helps me making more sense of it. I'll post afterwards if I think of something new or interesting.

Actually I'm second guessing my previous post. I'm not sure, but I think it might be more like

Code:
e
i e
l p
  i
f s
p t
s l
.
t .
  a
a i
e f
i
The spacing seems to be important.

Hmm, maybe there'll come more, which may help us making sense of it... Like each line giving us anagrams or something.

Re: Muggle Quidditch 2.0?!

I just googled .aif and came up with http://filext.com/file-extension/AIF

I'm starting to think this is another link somewhere, probably on one of the three sites. Any ideas on what the first part might be?

it could be that or aif could be a code representing any of the other site address endings like .org, .com, .net etc.... just more to think over....

Re: Muggle Quidditch 2.0?!

Hey everyone, hate to be a broken record but the deadline for the IVP is tomorrow, and Sonorus has said that if we want to free Ludo by the 15th then we need to complete this task. So I'm encouraging you to get out there and protest!

We have secured another hearing with the Ministry on the 15th, and we need to show them our videos so that they will believe that Muggle Quidditch and Ludo Bagman both have international support, only then will they secure his release!

Re: Muggle Quidditch 2.0?!

natas over at unForums found the new site

Spoiler: show
http://triwizardgalleonwasps.com/aparecium/epistle.aif

Here is his rough translation:

Quote:
Friends, In captive confines we are controlled.
We have bars of gold as bars of hold
I write from 'neath the goblins cackles
I plea to free me from their shackles
Facing now the darkest threat,
I pray thee, use my muggles net
To find support from friends of old
And tell the ones I know as bold
To urge those at the minstry
To do their job by saving me
When in doubt show a ???
Take the issue to the ???.

Re: Muggle Quidditch 2.0?!

To me it sounds like:

when it doubt, the surest thing
take the issue to the king.

Do you think this might have something to do with the recent MoM elections?

Vapor posted at UnForum that he thinks Ludo might be held at Gringotts. That sound right given the echo, the bars, and the goblin connection. I think this is all starting to come together ...

The king? Who's that? At first I thought of Kingsley Shacklebolt, but it might be the new Minister for Magic, too. Or both, if Kingsley wins...
