Re: Funniest lines in the films?

"Wicked" - Fred and George

"That's likely" - Also Fred and George

"Neville Longbottom? How's mum and Dad?" - Bellatrix

"Yes"..."Obviously" - Snape

"Although if you wish to poison him I would have the greatest sympathy" - Snape

"I didn't know you could read" - Draco. This one is a classic.

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

My favourite line has to be -

"Get away from my Godson."
*PUNCH*

Excellently delivered by Mr. Oldman.

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

"It says here that you applied for the job first?"Professor Umbridge
"Yes,"Snape
"And you were unsuccesful?"Umbridge
"Obviously,"Snape
Then Ron starts giggling and when Umbridge leaves Snape slaps Ron in the back of the head with a book.
That part made me crack up!

Then the one in the ministry:

"Get away from my godson,"Sirius Black
Then he punches Lucius(I think it was him)

Those are my favorite funny lines from Order of the Phoniex. For the other movies I can't think of any.

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

This isn't a line as such, but I love it in the first flying lesson where Harry's giggling about Ron's broom hitting him in the face because it's so natural - like Dan was actually unable to stop himself giggling.

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

My favorite would have to be when Umbridge get's told off by while Harry is being advised on his career. If anyone can give me these lines I would love it!

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

I just remebered one from PoA :
"Well, Harry's got sort of a...wonky cross? That's trials and suffering. And that there could be the sun; that's happiness. So...you're going to suffer, but you're going to be...happy about it."
Another Ron line.

I had forgotton about that one!! The "Ooooh!" is so hilarious! And I love the part right after that when Dumbldore says to Cedric, "Mr. Diggory, at the sound of the cannon---" and then Filch blasts the cannon early and cuts him off.

"You're a right foul git, you know that?"
"Think so? Anything else?"
"Yeah, stay away from me."

Gof. I love this scene between Harry and Ron. I laugh every time I watch it.

"Teaching."
"Teaching, Moody, is that a student?"
"Techniquely its a ferret."

I love this part too when Moody turns Draco into a ferret.

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

I love in Gof when one of the twin asks the girl to the ball like pointing at her and making a dance movement.
In GoF when harry smiles with pop in his mouth.
Also In CoS when Lockhart say something like " i didnt defeat banshee by smiling at them" and then does that little laugh and smile.
And in OoTP when Umbridge is asking snape about wanting to be defence against the darks arts teacher. "Obviously" then he hits Ron on the head with a book.

I was watching OoTP in the cinema and when Hermione said " everybody this is Loony love... luna lovegood" I burst out laughing. I was the only one.

"Why dont you run along and play with your chemistry set"-Sirius Black, PoA

Move your body like a hairy troll
Learning to rock and roll
Spin around like a crazy 'elf
A' Dancin' by himself
I boogie down like a unicorn
No stoppin' till the break of dawn
Put your hands up in the air
Like a dog, or just don't care

Can you dance the hipogriff?
Ma ma ma, ma ma ma, ma ma ma

Oh, that part was hysterical! And then at the end he winks at Ron and Harry like he's saying, "See? It's easy!"

I love Harry's little dribble. The first time I saw that I cracked up.

I had forgotton that he hits Ron in the head with a book! He just takes out his frustration on the nearest person that he hates.

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

Rita Skeeter: This is cozy.
Harry: It's a broom cupboard.
Rita Skeeter: Well you should feel right at home, then.

Harry: Hey, my eyes aren't glistening with the ghost of my past!

Also very funny I thought.

Re: Funniest lines in the films?

The "quarrelling like an old married couple!" line gets me everytime.

I like the twins' interaction with Ron in the dance lesson scene in GoF.
