Re: Talking to Your Kids about Hard Issues

I have a nephew who has just turned 4 and is going thru a phase right now of grabbing breasts (not strangers, family/friends who pick him up). My sister taught him the proper term, we call them breasts and we politly but firmly let him know that Yes these are my breasts and they are my business, not yours. He know exactly what "my business" means too bc my sister is also teaching him that no one should be messing around with "his business", if they do to tell mom and dad right away. So open and honest but also age appropiate is deff the way to go.
For any of you teens out there who can't (or won't) go to a parent/family member another alternative for good advice is from a nurse (school nurse, clinic nurse) for questions like sexually transmitted diseases (how to avoid, symptoms, cures), drug use, how it effect your health etc...
