Does anyone know if the special features in the gift sets are typically the same as the main release, or do they slim things down a bit (seems to be fewer discs in the gift sets, etc.)?

I have never bought a gift set, but from what I understand there are fewer special features.

Now I'm wishing I lived in the United States... We get nothing of the sort in Canada. Does anybody know if the special features are typically on the DVD disk from the Triple Play DVD as well as the Blu-Ray, or just on the Blu-Ray? I'd love the special features, of course, and considering in Canada the only way to get them is with the Blu-Ray, this seems the way to go. I do have a Blu-Ray player, but as it's on my computer, it won't be nearly so accessible. Irregardless, I'd prefer to have a simple 2-disk DVD to go along with the others.

I'm happy that the US also gets a 2-disk DVD, but it sad that Canada can't

However, the DVD will not have as many special features as the Bluray (both combo and not), so I think in your case it is best to get the triple play You can play the film on a TV but will have to make do with your computer for the special features...
