Re: Mac or PC

PC all the way. I've used Macs before (the old '80s Macintosh, iMac, MacBook Pro) and I've never been able to figure out what the big hoopla is. They're over-hyped, over-priced and overrated.

I'm also a very visual person. I prefer things looking nice. The Mac OS interface is so ugly.

According to Siri on the latest iPhone, you'd be better off buying Nokia.

SMHApple has leapt to repair an embarrassing bug that last week caused the personal assistant app Siri to declare that the Nokia Lumia 900 was the best smartphone ever.

Re: Mac or PC

I'm not sure how true this is but apparently Siri will respond with iPhone if you ask which is the fourth best phone.

PC all the way! I find it a lot sturdier and more compatible with other types of gadgets/technology etc. And it's far more reasonably priced, lol.

And now, according to Apple's CEO, you'd be better off using another map app because Maps is rubbish.

SMHApple Chief Executive Tim Cook apologised to customers frustrated with glaring errors in its new Maps service and, in an unusual move for the consumer giant, directed them to rival services such as Google Maps instead.

Apple CEO apologises for maps, recommends rivals

Kudos to Cook.

Re: Mac or PC

Apple's maps was half baked, I doubt Steve Jobs would have released it in the state it's currently in - Alpha/beta stage.

I have Windows 8, like it so far. Learning curve is steep. Lack of a touchscreen is not a problem as you can simply press the windows key and D to bring the desktop up. No need for a start button as the start menu is where everything is easily accessible. I tend to adopt new versions of windows early. So far Java is the only thing that refuses not to work.

As per my own experience MAC is the best ever so. It provides a much better functionality than PC.

Re: Mac or PC

After many years of owning PCs, I tire of all the malware and viruses. I now own a MAC...I have not looked back since. Currently, in use for 3 years and am very happy....!BAM!
