I know exactly what you mean. It's taunting me, that link. I want to look so badly, but I know at the same time it'll be harder to deal with my excitement! I just watched a preview yesterday night and I was going crazy about how much I want to see it. Why is the eighteenth so far away?!

I wonder if they're going to do anything in honor of Heath Ledger? Like would they add something in the beginning or end (e.g. "In memory of Heath Ledger").

If a member of cast or crew dies during a shoot or shortly after there is a dedication after the fade out.

The clip really isn't a spoiler and it doesn't give anything away. It's an action sequence that gives an immediate introduction into how Mr. Joker operates.

It did make me even more excited to see this move though!

I can remove the link... but now that you know it's out there, you can easily find it!

Well, I can give you my greatest assurances that I will be seeing this movie. Batman is my favorite comic book hero.

You don't have to edit the link out, I was just being paranoid. I'm so excited for the film but I don't want to watch many clips of the movie so I can be completely surprised when I watch the film. I've only actually looked at a few pictures (less than five, actually), one trailer and a tv spot. It's driving me insane and knowing that five minutes of the film is out there is making it even more tempting.

I can't wait!

Same here. I find him much more interesting because he, unlike other common superheroes, uses strength and intellect in order to fight the criminals in society. It makes a much more interesting film as well, IMO.

Yes. Just before the closing credits, it will say, “In memory of our friends Heath Ledger & Conway Wickliffe.” Conway was a special effects technician that died on set while doing a stunt.

Can't wait, can't wait, CANNOT wait for this movie!! I've been psyching myself up for months. However, I just recently found out I won't be in town on July 18th, so I'll miss the midnight preview. That's upsetting, because I was planning to see it with my boyfriend then. Still, I'm sure it won't lose any of its awesomeness if we see it later.

Oh cool! I love signiture to death!!

I'm staying away from all behind the scenes now though. My dad ordered tickets two days ago for us to see it on the 19th (since opening day is sold out) in I-max. I'm so excited! This'll be my very first I-Max movie!

My dad said that The Dark Knight is the very first movie to be filmed in both I-Max and regular filming.

Re: Batman 2: The Dark Knight

I wish I could go to the midnight viewing, but I have to work the next day at 8:30. I can't function on 4 hours of sleep, not even for Batman.

Lucky you, getting to go to IMAX to watch it! The closest one to me is 30 + minutes away. I would go if I could, but I don't have the time. It seems like such an amazing movie to watch it with.

It is? Haven't other movies been made for IMAX, too? I know Harry Potter was.

I am trying to NOT watch anymore tv spots for the film because the Joker is just so infectious to me. I need to see the WHOLE movie already!!! I want to see how it all plays out.

Re: Batman 2: The Dark Knight

I really would like to go see this, and I probably will, but the reason I am afraid to go see it, is because of the Joker, just because he is EXTREMELY CRAZY. It sounds like Heath did an amazing job as the Joker, and I know this is only a movie, but I don't like psychopaths. My brother said he would go see it with me so I think I'll go. I caught a bit of one of the many old Batman movies with Jack Nicholson as the Joker, and it freaked me out, he burned a guys face off. Why?! Yeah it just creeps me out, I hate scary stuff and violence.

No Christopher Nolan (the director) had The Dark Knight filmed in two defferint ways. In IMAX and in regular filming. Harry Potter was filmed in complete IMAX.

Oh my goodness, this thread is pretty filled up with girls. Guys don't think this movie is a chick flick ok.

I knew I was missing something. That makes so much more sense.

If anyone thinks this is a chick flick, he or she is insane. The movie is filled with action-packed goodness.

The Tomato Meter at rottentomatoes still has Batman at 100%! Even if it goes down a bit I would watch it anyway.

Don't count the meter till the movie comes out - TDK is one of the biggest releases of the year, the expectation levels are going to be high.

Re: Batman 2: The Dark Knight

Oh, I'm definitely not expecting it to remain at 100% on the tomato meter. A critic has pointed out that while it's a good movie it does have flaws and it'll likely be criticized for those flaws. I'm expecting it to be, at most, somewhere in the 90% range.
