Donnie Darko. That movie is so freakin AWESOME! And The Lord Of Illusions. That one creeps me out...a bit.

Knife in the Water by Roman Polanski

Hey, I've actually seen that! In fact, I was talking to somebody about it just yesterday. We actually studied that (it was originally a play) in an English class I took several years ago.

Has anybody seen "Dave," with Kevin Klein? It's about a guy (named Dave, obviously) who has to impersonate the president of the United States when the real president has a stroke--really hilarious, actually.

How about "The Life of Brian"?? Thats another one done by the Monty crew... My favourite quote is "...He's been a naughty naughty boy...". My god you should hear how its said. :ROTFL: and I have seen the magical world of the Leprechauns, ans strictly ballroom and ever after and a tone of other movies mentioned on this thread. I am THE biggest movie buff around!! My mum has all these old movies too and some are musical and have Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra in them... ie Take me out to the Ballgame.

Heres a list of films I consider 'quite unknown'

Go to IMDB.com and type these films in, they are really good and i urge everyone to track them down and watch them.

- Living in Oblivion

- Cecil B Dementied

- Garden State (not a really unknown one)

- Battle Royale (has a big cult following so you may know it)

- Requiem For A Dream

- PI

- A Clockwork Orange (another well-known one but a must see!)

Watch those and tell me what you think

Happy Viewing !

Much Battle Royale and PI (saw that one in the theater) love. One that the significant other likes is The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover. I don't get it myself, but he thinks its hysterical.
Also love Drop Dead Fred, but his funniest stuff was The Young Ones.
Here's one from the vaults:
Wizard of OZ-2!!!

do u mean Return to OZ? i love that movie!!! i read the book when i was little (the book is called "Ozma of OZ"), and when i found out that they made, i was sooooo excited!!!

the only differences that i can remember off the top of my head are:

- in the book, the story starts on a ship with Uncle Henry
- Dorothy is NEVER sent to a mental institute (or whatever u wanna call that place
- Billina the chicken doesnt belong to Dorothy, Billina was in OZ when she got there
- there are at least 2 extra characters that travel with Dorothy

but for the most part, its pretty close to the story!!! everyone should go read the book!!!! then u should see the movie!!!

Well I don't know if this was post, but this movie suprised me because I usually don't watch movies like that.. But "The City of God" is really good.. I don't suggest it to anybody under 17 though...

I didn't know other people had ever seen that movie. My sister and I used to rent it all the time and watch it. No one else had ever heard of it though.

let's say the sweetest man in all existence was brutalized
so you could be with Him marred more than any man,
humiliated in public (Isaiah 53:3-12, John 19:17-37)
you'd think that's enough but is it, but is it?
let's pretend all you had to do was ask Him in (Romans 10:9)
how much easier could that possibly be? -DISCIPLE

not many people have heard of the missing, the princess bride or whale rider... some of you probably heard of them before.

I just recently watched the movie Whale Rider, it was pretty good. Down Periscope is hilarious, I watch it every time it comes on.

Here is one of my favorites, not many people here watches this much: Clan of the Cave Bear. It's based on Jean M. Auel book series. I love this movie (and book) and I watch it every time it comes on. I even own it.

A few others that I like:

While You Were Sleeping, with Sandra Bullock
Dances With Wolves, with Kevin Cosnor
White Fang
Postman, another one with Kevin Cosnor

I better stop or I would go on and on and on. lol
