Yes, clockwork prince comes out in December. Did you see the cover? Jem looks great and I love that staff. Supposedly, this will be the longest book Cassandra Clare has ever written.

I've read Clockwork Prince, as well as Clare's other books.

I thought it was really good, though I continue to be frustrated by the character Will. I think he was made too similar to Jace (who, for his part, was clearly influenced by Draco Malfoy) in terms of personality. Even though the backstory came out as to why he acted the way he did, he still comes off as a black haired, blue eyed Jace. I find it kind of cheap and repetitive, and I have the feeing that Tessa will end up with him. I hope this doesn't happen, because it will feel like a redux of Jace and Clary to me. I also don't know how her relationship with Jem would be resolved should she end up with Will, though I imagine the conclusion of that relationship will be Jem's death (grumble grumble).

That's my biggest problem with Clockwork Prince - a lot of time had been spent building up the relationship between Tessa and Jem and painting Tessa's feelings for him as equal to her feelings for Will...only to have her act as if she has to convince herself that she loves him at the end? I don't get it.

Even though the revelations of Charlotte's and Henry's true feeling was super cheesy, I still appreciated the character development they both got in terms of their marriage.

Jessamine's betrayal felt right. Her character had been developed in a way that made it believable, along with her inner turmoil as to why she had done what she did and the uncertainty she felt about her future.

As a whole I really enjoyed the book, despite some issues.

Anyone reading or have already read the new Mortal Instruments book, City of Lost Souls? I'm reading the one prior to it, City of Fallen Angels as I'm drawing blanks when remembering certain things, so I won't hopefully confuse myself for the next one.
