Song Parodies related to HP

I plan to put up 15 parodied songs by the end of the week (that is, by Thursday). All the songs are from the musicals that are listed below:

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Jesus Christ Superstar
West Side Story
Fame
Godspell
Les Miserables

All right, now for the parodies!

BEWARE, BEWARE
A parody of "Look Down, Look Down" from Les Miserables

Beware, beware
The full moon has now come.
Beware, beware,
It is not his best chum.

His pain torments;
And it is pure anguish.

He knows, he knows,
To transform is not fun.

This man, you know,
Is the Remus we love.

He cares, he cares,
Harry does care for him.

We know he’ll live,
We’ll know he’ll survive through.

We’ll cheer, we’ll cheer,
If he lives ’till the end.

In HBP
Is he the prince-we’ll see!

Beware, beware,
The full moon has now come.

How long, O fate,
For a cure, he must wait?

We care, we care,
By his side we all stand.
We care, we care,
As a team, by his side.

This is really a parody of the first part of that particular song. I hope you enjoyed this one. Now for the next!

AT THE PRISON

A parody of "On the Willows" from Godspell

At the prison there,
Sirius held through for his best friend, James,
Waiting for revenge,
Not the Dementors’ Kiss.

In the train’s cabin,
Remus Lupin sleeps, uninterrupted,
By the trio there,
Not the Azkaban guards.

Thinking each other a dark traitor
Each other a dark traitor
Each other a dark traitor
But neither betrayed
Neither betrayed
Betrayed
The Potters on that fateful night.

At the Shrieking shack there,
Two friends reunite.

Now, here are two parodies of the next song (also from Les Mis). I personally like the first one.

DO YOU HEAR A WEREWOLF HOWL?
Parody one of “Do you hear the people sing?”

Do you hear a werewolf howl?
Howling for all to clearly hear?
It is the howling of a certain professor R.J Lupin.
When the setting of the moon
Cues in the rising of the sun
He will be a human again when the rays of dawn comes!

Will you, too, stand by Remus?
Do you mind if he’s a werewolf?
Sometime in the future, is there a cure waiting for him?
Or will foul Umbridge prevent this from happening?

Do you hear a werewolf howl?
Howling for all to clearly hear?
It is the howling of a certain professor R.J Lupin.
When the setting of the moon
Cues in the rising of the sun
He will be a human again when the rays of dawn comes!

Will you stand by the character, protest against foul Umbridge?
She’s a hag and she’s evil.
We know he’ll make it ’till book seven!
The Lupin Defenders Society will fight for him!

Do you hear a werewolf howl?
Howling for all to clearly hear?
It is the howling of a certain professor R.J Lupin.
When the setting of the moon
Cues in the rising of the sun
He will be a human again when the rays of dawn comes!

DO YOU HEAR THE LOVED ONES SING?
Parody two of “Do you hear the people sing?”

Do you hear the loved ones sing?
Lost beyond the perplexing veil?
It is the whispers of a people who are all waiting for you.
When the streak of the death mark
Beckons the clashing of a battle
There is a war about to start when tomorrow comes!

Will you trust in our Order?
Who’ll be faithful to our side?
Beyond the barricade, is there a life you hope to live?
Then join in the fight and we will be lead to victory!

Do you hear the loved ones sing?
Lost beyond the perplexing veil?
It is the whispers of a people who are all waiting for you.
When the streak of the death mark
Beckons the clashing of a battle
There is a war about to start when tomorrow comes!

Will you hope with all your heart
Harry vanquishes You-Know-Who?
One must die, and one must live.
Will he battle and take his chance?
The blood of the Death Eaters will tarnish the battling grounds!

Do you hear the loved ones sing?
Lost beyond the perplexing veil?
It is the whispers of a people who are all waiting for you.
When the streak of the death mark
Beckons the clashing of a battle
There is a war about to start when tomorrow comes!

This is all for now! I'll probably be back in a few hours, as I've nearly finished a couple more. Feedback here

CHANGE BACK FALSE ONE

Parody of “Turn back O Man” from Godspell Change back false one,
Confess thy evil ways!
Albus found out, and he is none too pleased!
You meant to kill the famous boy-who-lived.
Let’s hear your tale
With a strong truth potion.
Change back false one,
Change back false one,
Change back false one,
Confess thy evil ways!

You fooled Albus,
But feel his fury now.
He’s revealed you, imposing as Mad-Eye.
Your tale, now told
Showed your true, dark colours.
Will Mad-Eye wake
From his ten-month caging?
Sleep on, real one,
Sleep on, real one,
Sleep on, real one
Now freed from the Curse.

Crouch took Moody’s eye and wooden leg too.
Up till now had him locked in his own trunk,
Under an Unforgivable curse.
Moody’s Foe-glass’s warning went unheeded:
“An impostor! Imposter in our midst…”

You fooled Albus,
But feel his fury now.
He’s revealed you, imposing as Mad-Eye.
Your tale, now told
Showed your true, dark colours.
Will Mad-Eye wake
From his ten-month caging?
Sleep on, real one,
Sleep on, real one,
Sleep on, real one
Now freed from the Curse.

Well this is the fourth song now-I hope you enjoy it! You can send feedback here: Feedback

Sorry for the long delay! Well, thanks for the feedback to all those who gave me feedback! Here's another song to keep y'all going.
I'm still working on other songs!

BY MY SIDE
A Parody of "By My Side" from Godspell Note that the words in italics are from the original song. Just the "By My Side" bits and "Where are you going?"

Where are you going?

Where are you going?

Will I see you again?

For I miss you so, and need you.

Will you ever come back?

Youíre beyond the world of the living,

The world of the living.

Where the voices sing beyond the dark curtain.

Snuffles, I miss you so.

Iím to blame-I had been fooled.

Itís not a nightmare,

As I am awake!

I remember the day I saved you from the kiss

The Dementorsí Kiss.

I have tried your mirror, but

You did not respond at all to me.

I smashed this mirror, and it now lies broken in my trunk,

Your message burns before my eyes, taunting me: ďCall me to talk.Ē

But Iíll see you soon, and when I do, Iíll be glad youíre

By my side.

By my side,

By my side,

By my side,

By my side-

That you are here

By my side.

Keep Him Safe A parody of “Bring Him Home”

I imagine this being sung by our own dear werewolf, Remus J Lupin. JKR,

Hear my plea,

Rising from the pages of your book.

He will fight,

Though afraid.

Let him live,

Let him win.

Keep him safe.

Keep him safe.

Keep him safe.

His magic has powerful might,

As we saw all those years ago.

When Voldemort

Killed Lily-

And her husband,

James Potter.

But they are gone,

Like Sirius.

Let him fight,

Let him choose,

But he’s afraid,

He is seventeen.

You can kill,

You can tease,

For the fans-

For their sake-

Give them hope, give me hope!

Let him live.

Keep him safe,

Keep him safe,

Keep him safe.

I know it's been a long delay, but I've been off Harry Potter, until of course, my muses inspired me to do one to Bring Him Home.

Re: Song Parodies related to HP

I was just looking back through all these...and think I could have done a lot better on some of them as some seemed rather Chris Colombus-ish

Also, as it seems the previous feedback forum has died, I have put up a new one.

Cursing--parody of Turning from Les Mis. The women are no longer harmless French peasant ladies but now Death Eaters... Pity as I actually really like this song-even if it's pessimistic. But it's fun to parody!

DEATH EATER ONE
Did you see those fools going to fight?

DEATH EATER TWO
Wizards of the Hogwarts school who will not last the night.

DEATH EATER THREE
Did you see them cry over their dead?
Mothers cradle their dead child;
How we laughed when they cried!

DEATH EATER FOUR
Did you see them battling side by side?

DEATH EATER FIVE
Who will stop him?

DEATH EATER SIX
Oh, Voldemort will.

DEATH EATER TWO
Someone has to tell them that a summer's day can kill.

DEATH EATER SEVEN
They are foolish, thinking they will win!
Risking their puny lives in vain, knowing they won't live!

DEATH EATER THREE
Where's their new lives when the battle's done?

DEATH EATER FOUR
Harry's foolish.

BELLATRIX
Molly Weasley, DIE!

DEATH EATER EIGHT
Ev'rywhere, another death, another score for us!

DEATH EATER SEVEN
Harry Potter's dead, let us rejoice!

DEATH EATER FIVE
Now the battle will turn in our favour, celebrate!

ALL
Cursing, cursing, cursing, cursing, cursing till they scream!
Cursing, cursing, cursing till they scream!
Stup'fy into crucio, crucio into AK!
All is fun games, watching mourners cry!
Curse and curse through the Great Hall until everyone's dead!
Curse and curse until the fools lie dead.

Actually, this is inspiring me to do a parody of Les Mis based on HP...*bunnies breed like...rabbits...in Marina's head*

Re: Song Parodies related to HP

I know I'm reviving the dead (you can call me Isis), but I had been looking back at my really old stuff here...

*Cringes in horror*

*Stops breathing*

How did I think they were awesome? I wonder, trembling at the audacity of my even hence five years younger self.

*Crawls under the bed with chocolate and ten kittens*
