Twilight - The Movie
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer is going to become a movie! It says so on her website. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

I LOVE Twilight... but to be honest, I really don't think that it would be a good movie. Or at least, I personally would think they screwed it up.
I will probably just be disappointed, because they most certainly won't do it the way I pictured it and because some scenes will be cut.
What do you think about it?

It was announced a couple of month ago that there isn't going to be a movie. Stephine Meyer said she read the script and didn't like how they did it.

That may happened, but she must have changed her mind. On Sept. 26, 2007, she said, "Catherine Hardwicke, the director of the forth-coming Twilight movie, recently visited the Forks area with her team."

I'm not looking forward to the movie. However, I'm one of those people who sits through the movie to state what's wrong with the movie and then I end of liking the movie even though it's nothing like the books.

I like the Twilight series. I just have trouble imagining it being turned into a movie. I don't know, but it doesn't scream "perfect novel to adapt into a film"! Though I enjoy the plot, I can't see it as a movie. Maybe it's just me and it'll turn out to be amazing, but thats what I think.

I hope all goes well with the movie. The have a chance to really make something of it. I'm just not sure about Emily Browning as Isabella though... I'm not too fond of her

I think that the girl who plays Vivian in Blood and Chocolate, Agnes something, would be pretty good either as Bella or as Rosalie. She is actually a pretty good actor.

They cast Bella! It's Kristen Stewart from Speak and Zathura!

I personaly love the books, and I'll definitely watch the movies, but i just dont think they can make it well enough. Love stories are just hard to make into movies. They are good for side plots, but still. For a movie, its going to be hard.

I suppose I can sort of see her as Bella. Definitely not my first pick by any means, but she's not bad. At least we know she can act.

They finally have the information on Summit's website! The only thing on the information that's bothering me is that they only mention James and Laurent, not Victoria, but oh well...

Well, as said before, Kristen Stewart is Bella *sigh*. Hope they pick a good Edward too. It says their going to start filming in Febuary, but that's a bit soon considering they have practically the whole cast to find??

And now I know that there is a thread just for the movie. Great! As I posted in the book thread, here's a clip from "Vanity Fair" that convinced me that he would be a good Edward.
