looking on veritaserum.com, these are the ones they have come up with:

Harry Potter and the Quest of the Centaurs
Harry Potter and the Fortress of Shadows
Harry Potter and the Curse of Love
Harry Potter and the Curse of Hogwarts
Harry Potter and the Wizard's Bond
Harry Potter and the Relinquisher of Fate
Harry Potter and the Shroud of Healing
Harry Potter and the Graveyard of Memories
Harry Potter and the Manor of Death
Harry Potter and the War of the Wizards
Harry Potter and the Fulfillment of a Prophecy
Harry Potter and the Last Stand
Harry Potter and the Order's Vengeance
Harry Potter and the Mistaken Identity
Harry Potter and the Heirs' War
Harry Potter and the Secrets of the Dark Child
Harry Potter and the Final War
Harry Potter and the War of the Phoenix Wands

personally, i think Fortress of the Shadows (which could be Hogwarts, or Azkaban), Shroud of Healing (could be something to do with the veil) and Graveyard of Memories (where LV was resurrected) have something going for them.

I like Beast's idea of "Harry Potter and the Final Riddle". It relates to the "riddles" of finding horcruxes, and of course, Voldemort. The "final Riddle" could mean his final encounter with Voldemort, or the fact that Voldemort is probably the last in the Riddle family..

Just a thought: Harry Potter and the End of the Beginning.

This title would be used only if Harry survived I presume. Seeing as if Harry did defeat Voldemort then Harry could start again in a way.

However it is probably still to obvious for J.K Rowling.

Mmm.. if you find it out there on the Internet from a source saying that 'Harry Potter and blah blah is almost certainly the title of JK's seventh book'.. then it's most likely not. She'd be very careful with those sorts of things.

I like the Harry Potter and the End of the Beginning though. But here's a pattern I've noticed.. the titles have always gone from object, location, person. See:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (object)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (location)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (person)
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (object)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (location.. sort of)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (person)

If JK Rowling follows this pattern, the next book will probably have the target of an object.

I have to agree with you about the object for book 7. I am thinking, however, that Order of the Pheonix is more of a group of people than a place. The reason I say this is that in book 5 Harry's adventures always have the Order as a group involved somehow. The place is only really involved in the beginning of the book. Taking the pattern into consideration, however, it works much better as a place.

Now about the object, I don't think it will be anything we have seen thus far as this was the case in all previous books; we were never introduced to it until we saw it in the title. Given this, I think we can discount all horcruxes, and anything we as a reader have been introduced to. Personally, I think that it has something to do with Lily's eyes, but not her eyes directly. Lily's eyes have been reinforced continually throughout the series, except we know very little about them. JKR herself has said that Lily's eyes are very important. We also know that as JKR has eluded to it that this is the key to the series. (The piece of information that makes everything in the series make sense) Whatever the item may be, I think that Harry will find it mid book, just as he did with all the other people, items, and places in the title.

So my guess, Harry Potter and the Item that Makes Lily's Eyes Important or Harry Potter and the Item that the Key to the Series Hinges Upon. Of course, one would replace the phrases with the actual item name.

The title most likly will be about something we have not learned about in the first six books, and that is important to finishing Voldermont.

Harry Potter and the Answers to All Our Questions?

hmmm... Interesting question. The last word in the books is "scar" unless the author changes her mind.

Well, not very original, but it's what pops into mind.

Harry Potter and the Days of Future Past.

Harry Potter and the Final Dashing of the Harry/Hermione Shipper's Dreams

Even though I like Harry Potter and the Last Riddle, I think it's gonna be something we can't really guess like all the others have been.

What about...

"Harry Potter and the Wand Master"

Referring to the apparent kidnap of Olivander in book 6. He may have been an undercover death eater all along. Olivander I think will have a massive role in the last book, whether he is good or evil.

I highly doubt it would be Harry Potter and the Curse of Love. If so I will vomit.
I think the idea of a "black cover" would be awesome. However, I think JKR will stick with the trend and it will be titled, "Harry Potter and the ___________".

Harry Potter and the broken glasses?
(JKR told us in an interview that Harry's glasses are his weakness).
Harry Potter and the Dursleys?
(The Dursleys being his only blood ties left).
Harry Potter and the stupid suggestion?

I like the "Harry Potter and the final Riddle" mentioned above, because of the double meaning. Maybe JKR will disclose us the real title as a Christmas treat again.

Greetings,
Silk.

in the unlikley event that we do guess the title right i would say

1) obviously it would be harry potter and the _________ something theres a Quate somewhere if i can find it

2)it would be highly unlikly that it would be a title refering to a charcter we havent met so if its a charcter related title the best bet would be a name for voldemort , i like the "Harry Potter and the last riddle "silk you're right , this would be just the sort of title jk would give us

3) a location would be a poor choice since in book 7 harry will be running around the entire globe looking for horcruxses so we will definetly be seeing many new (or possiably one or two femaliar)locations , i thought the name of the location of where harry and voldemort will finally have the last battle but it seems somethng too good to give away in the title

4)an object is the biggest possabilty coz of the whole horcrux quest thing

5)the title never has hard to prononce words so that rules out horcruxes (trust me its hard to prononce ) so that would mean no quest or serch or ...whatever for the horcruxes

6) anything to do about the four founders seems pretty logical at the moment

thats all i got for now

I think that JKR is going to have a simple title--like Harry Potter and the Final Battle or Harry Potter and the Dark Lord.

I don't think shes going to be giving anything away in from the title. And in her interview she said that there wasn't going to be many new things appearing--that everything that has happened in the past 6 books will come together. I believe she will make the title as simple as she can. She won't want to spoil anything for us loyal reader

"Harry Potter is Not Luke Skywalker's Brother"

So far, the titles have cryptically introduced something. We're supposed to learn something big about Lily and get all the backstory in seven. Wonder if something about the past will be in the title.

very good point. think about this way

HP and the SS/PS(did not know about it before the book came out)
HP and the COS(did not know about it before the book came out)
HP and the POA(knew of azkaban)
HP and the GOF(did not know about it before the book came out)
HP and the OotP(did not know about it before the book came out)
HP and the HBP(did not know about it before the book came out)

What i mean by 'did not know about it before the book came out' is the item/place/person mentioned in it before reading it. i dont mean that we didn't know the title before the book came out. That's why i agree with scd and believe it will be a title that is meaningless until we read the book.
