Re: Animal Crossing

The only town destroying I've ever done is when people have held axe parties - for when you stock up on fruit and saplings and are ready to redo the landscape of your town. I've had them before for my own town, and they really are very fun.

Feel free to join the community and post your code! No one can get into your town unless you've both added each other's codes, so no worries on people getting it and coming in automatically - you've got to let them.

Re: Animal Crossing

Yay! I'm so excited at the prospect of playing with a real, live person! I've done that in AC:WW, but not so far in CF.

I'll add you to mine later today. (It's still afternoon for me...)

Re: Animal Crossing

Hm. As far as I knew, all Wii friend codes were 16 digits long...I'll go look it up.

ETA:
I've looked it up, and Wii friend codes are indeed 16 digits. It's DS friend codes that are 12.

Re: Animal Crossing

My Mario Kart code is 12 digits long, as is my Wii Code and my AC code. O_o

Re: Animal Crossing

Hm.

In the first post in the social group I've linked to a video that shows you where to find your Wii friend code - is that where you found yours?

Re: Animal Crossing

Yes my Wii code is 8703 7348 6435 2318.

But my AC and Mariokart codes are only 12 digits long. I have swapped friend codes with people online who play Mariokart and theirs are all 12 digits. I'm so confused.

Re: Animal Crossing

Oh, not a problem! I can explain.
There is a MarioKart for the DS, and there is also one for the Wii. So when people talk about them and don't differentiate, it does get confusing.
There is Animal Crossing: Wild World for the DS, and Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii.

To play any of those you do need to exchange friend codes or be matched with random people (though Animal Crossing is strictly friends-code only).
Does that help?

Re: Animal Crossing

Yes I know. I have Mariokart for both the Wii and the DS. My DS doesn't connect to the internet so I play online on the Wii. My Mariokart Wii code is only 12 digits long, as is everybodies who have swapped with me.

That...is really odd. Huh.

Where did you get your AC friend code from?

Re: Animal Crossing

Well, the Wii just has the one friend code, but the DS game allies itself with a particular DS and creates a code - learned that when my husband tried to change it to his.

Re: Animal Crossing

Ahhhh well you see, whilst playing on AC, if you click on the heart icon, and then click on the key icon at the top, it gives you your AC friend code.

I can't add you unless you give me that.

Re: Animal Crossing

With Animal Crossing: New Leaf coming out soon on the 3ds, I thought it might be good to bump this thread up for discussion of the new game.

Any talk of its features can be done via spoiler, so as not to ruin the game for those who want to be surprised.

Spoiler: show
How do you guys like the fact that you get to be mayor of the town this time around? I really like it, it seems as if it'll add more to the overall game itself.
