Re: Playstation 3 Discussion

I think that this is the year where Sony takes over the market. They are getting a lot of their games out now like MGS4 and such. Plus Bioshock will be coming to the PS3 soon with exclusive content. These games alone are system sellers.

Re: Playstation 3 Discussion

Bioshock? Probably not. MGS gave PS3 sales a huge spike but what else is there, really? A bunch of new IPs. Resistance 2 might be a fantastic game but it won't be a system seller.

They better pray to God that LittleBigPlanet moves a lot of units. They don't really have any other heavy-hitters this year.

I think God of War 3 will be the game that'll take PS3 to the top. Plus the second installment of Uncharted and Assassins Creed 2 have such amazing graphics that they'll put any other console to shame.

Re: Playstation 3 Discussion

I have heard there's been rumours about a PS4 coming out soon. Seeing as Xbox have the 360, and Nintendo might be upgrading their system, there's much pressure on Sony to update their system and produce a new model, but I'm not entirely sure.

Re: Playstation 3 Discussion

Why would Sony need to update the PS3 because of the 360? They came out around the same time and are in the same "generation" of games, as is the Wii.

Personally, I find myself using the PS3 the most often right now. I own all three consoles, but I tend to use the PS3 for both movies and Netflix, and when I have a choice of the PS3 or the 360 for the same game, I choose the PS3. I think it's the controller; it fits better in my hands and feels easier for me to use. The 360 controller is a little awkward for me at times.

Or course - right when I finally got my first PS3 a few months ago as a graduation gift

I've had the Wii for a few years, because it was considerably cheap for a new console when it first came out. I just got a PS3 Slim this summer, and I recently bought a new 360 Slim on a good deal.

Also I love the PS3 mostly because of the Uncharted games, which, arguably, have some the best and gorgeous graphics and an awesome storyline.

Personally, I love my PS3 because as mexicant said, Netflix and watching Blu-Ray/DVD's.

Not to mention the free online is a huge plus for me, since I can't afford to shell out money to Xbox Live when I rarely play it enough to justify the costs.

If anyone wants to add me, and they have a PS3, my PSN is magic_is_might92. Just tell me you're from CoS

Re: Playstation 3 Discussion

I don't have a PS3 myself. Have a perfectly good PS2, just have to get a new controller for it.

But I might plan on getting one someday though.

Re: Playstation 3 Discussion

As far as My technical knowledge is concern that I would like to say that Sony priced itself out of the bulk of the market with the PS3, and in some respects the PS2 was still too popular. Sony would have been better placed to keep the PS2 rolling for another year and allow developers more time to make exclusive titles for the PS3.
