Re: Your current read v6

I've been working on Harry Potter Page to Screen by Bob McCabe for a little while now - just about 200 pages in at the start of HBP. The book is interesting and nostalgic, but there's a level of film-related detail that extends a bit beyond my fanaticism (especially as a book purist. E.g., lists of 5-10 films of each actor as they're introduced!). I am surprised, too, that nothing is said of the musical scores.

I've kept up with my audiobook reading of A Song of Ice and Fire, having just begun A Feast for Crows (4th book in the series). I'll be back in a couple of months when I finish it!

Mr. Mercedes -- Stephen King

It's ok so far. Will be reading Critical Mass by Sara Paretsky as well. Then onto Saint Odd (the final Odd Thomas novel) by Dean Koontz.

Thatababy Rocks Out, Thatababy Geeks Out and Thatababy Goes Artsy - Amazon had them on sale - real cheap - so I indulged my inner child.

Rereading Hawai'i by James Michener. I'm doing an on site study of the subject.

The French Lieutenant's Woman by John Fowles. A bit of a slog.

Re: Your current read v6

Only about a month for A Feast for Crows. I've moved on to listening to A Dance with Dragons to round out the available books of the series: looking forward to being "caught up" with the world and having something new to listen to - though it's kind of nice to not have to track down new audio books every few days!

I've also been reading - finally - Galbraith's The Cuckoo's Calling. Knowing it's JKR, the book smacks of her writing. It's hard to imagine her getting away with a pseudonym for long had the series gained much more traction than it had prior to the reveal.
