I think it would be cool to have themed contests of Sigs more often. Maybe each month, or every couple of months a new character from the book is featured and members will create sigs to go with them? No prizes necessary - just contests for the best ones!

Could I please make a request to the mods/ASA?

Some people like going into the Harry Potter books with as little information as the average reader would know. Recently, Mugglenet posted a clue provided by translations as to what the Deathly Hallows were and now threads and posts are being made about it using this information which the common reader wouldn't know. Does this not merit a spoiler warning, considering the sensitive nature of what exactly the Deathly Hallows are?

People have been speculating on the meaning of Deathly Hallows since December, including whether or not that related to Founder items and/or Horcruxes. It isn't considered spoiler information.

Although the Swedish publisher seems to be the only one who has let this out, we do not doubt that it's from Jo herself. Intended for consumption. Therefore we don't consider it a spoiler. However we do ask people to discuss it in Divination Studies only. I think we all know that some of the things discussed there may come true.

There's already a lot of stuff that concerns DH that we are already talking about - discussions of who will die, if the locket at 12 GP is really the horcrux locket, etc. Given that these discussions (personal opinion though they may be) could still spoil aspects of DH (such as the identity of R.A.B.), perhaps the special DH section could be created early?

when I was a little bit younger... I used to want my mom to tell me what would happen in the books... because I wasnt exactly able to read very big books......

but I know regret it... I wished my mom didnt tell me who died and the major things that happend in the books. It was very sad.

I'm afraid that's not the way our admins have planned it. Anyone who wants to approach the book without knowing even about various speculations should have started avoiding Divination Studies long ago.
